Tatum has led this team for years to solid heights at the age when players are still trying to make the playoffs for the first time! He comes to work any chance he can! He’s not overly boisterous but his work shows that he betters himself every season! He seems to be a great teammate because year after year the players around him are BETTER WITH HIM ON THE COURT!! Everything you guys are saying is based on feelings, i get that, my feelings can cloud my judgement of brown (others), but damn some of you beat me in wild thoughts!
I’ll say it again, if Tatum ever leaves, yall will really know what it’s really like not having a superstar! It’s not easy to do what Tatum has accomplished at his age, stop pretending like he’s not living up to something because he’s exceeding every step of the way!
He may not be doing everything we want but people will take half of what Tatum does consistently and some of you are acting like he’s a bum!!
It makes me grumpy how people seem to judge him only on his shooting/scoring. He's a much more valuable and complete player than that and even when his shots aren't falling he's doing more "other things" than anyone else.
Whole post game thread is angrily insulting him after a game where he went for 31/10/7/5, took over in the 3rd to get us back in the game, scored on the drive and basket that sent it to OT, and then late in OT he assisted on the White 3 and had the big rebound and outlet to KP for the winning dunk.
I'm thinking maybe all the Jaylen fights we've had year over the last few years made people pick sides in this imaginary Jay battle, and so whenever JT misses shots it brings people out of the woodwork to complain about him like we've done with JB? Or people just don't like his face or something? I don't even get it lol.
It completely misses what's actually going on out there imo. I saw comments saying we won the game last night because we went away from JT. But we didn't go away from him. He had the ball in his hands and made the right plays and set up his teammates for almost all of the big baskets that got us the win. Not to mention his 5 steals and always-great defense.
TLDR: stop insulting my handsome son, you meanies!
Edit: for clarity I'm not saying he doesn't take a few bad shots per game etc and should be immune to criticism. I'm just saying some of the criticism is off base and completely over the top.
