Bobby jumping out has worked quite a bit this year, that example is just him being late and the action being too close. When the screen is higher and Bobby jumps out quicker it works but I don't think you need to do it against whoever has the ball on that injured BKN team.

I wonder what end of bench guys we consider most acceptable to be included in a trade.

If Crowder’s injury has us down on him maybe he’d be the one on the outs (for better or worse) if we need to open a roster spot or get a few million more to match salaries for an upgrade.

RoLo it depends on the understanding with BroLo.

MarJon and Livingston depend on the understanding with Rich Paul.

Cam Payne and Beasley seem like good enough fits that they wouldn’t be throw in types.

AJJ and AJ I think the Bucks value more than those dudes as long term fits who can also help a bit at least now. MarJon very well might be in this category too Rich Paul aside I just don’t know how many developmental prospects we’d hang on to vs leverage in a win now deal.

That leaves Thanasis / Pat / Bobby / Khash / Brook / Giannis / Dame.

I’m really curious what offers would be out there for brook if we are looking to shake things up a bit more.

Good job. I woke up today thinking very similar thoughts about Pat and Bobby. Basically, if you arent a core 4 player and you cant defend, youre not much help to this team.

I do think Bobby actually hasnt been bad guarding on the perimeter, he just cant defend the rim at all. So im moving Pat first for sure. Because Bobby brings so much offensively and emotionally, its gotta be a great deal imo.

yeah I agree with that, but i also think Bobby is way easier to move for an upgrade.

When Jrue was here and our back court could defend, you needed 15 points off the bench. Now you need someone who can lock up Tatum

The O'Neale/WCJ would be an ideal outcome. WCJ reminds me of the Reg-era Davises on Indiana.

Idk I could see Giannis being the long term Brook replacement as he moves to the Celtics-era KG section of his career.

Either way I agree with the calculus on Bobby that a fantastic scorer off the bench is less important to us post-Dame than it was before.

He’s still damn valuable though fan nostalgia and lockerroom vibes aside. As Shaffty put it he‘s “tenacious and ferocious and one of the last enforcers of the NBA.”

I've always liked WCJ as a sneaky "could be the next Brook" candidate, but yikes, what's going on with his numbers this season? He's also not really a guy that I ever viewed as any sort of switchable frontcourt dude either (he's built like Jahlil Okafor). If we're moving Bobby/Pat then it needs to be a guy who's a bit more established/proven IMO.

Good read. I tend to agree with your feelings on most of the players. Can’t help but feel like Beauchamp is gonna end up being a miss for my draft board (I had him as a lottery talent that year). And definitely feel like from a basketball standpoint, one of our main big men has to go and Pat probably too. What those three players mean to the city and team makes it really tough. I don’t envy Horst’s position this season.

Orlando has no reason to trade WCJ. They need him. O'Neale isn't a defender anymore, he's just a spot up shooter now. Doesn't fill a need.

That doesn't come close to matching salaries.
