Which is like why I'm totally fine with selling him for 25 cents on the dollar at some point during the season. I just don't see Miles being on this team next year. Maybe I'm just a pessimistic curmudgeon.

Hot take, I think Miles has lost a bit of burst in his step and I'm not entirely sure he's as good as his stats suggest. His off ball defense is atrocious.

But for team devoid of any type of talent, it would suck to lose a Fringe All-Star for nothing.

I have noticed he's not as explosive. Odd considering he's still young. Perhaps he's still getting back in rhythm from being off over a year.

25 cents on the dollar is a player we know is awful and a late 2nd.

Marvin Bagley and the 50th pick for Bridges is pretty easy pass for me. There is more value in seeing him another 30 games and then reacessing and maybe even a sign and trade at that point.

Hell letting him walk and just having 20+ million in cap space might have more value then trading him for a guy making 10 and then trying to spend the other 10 in FA

I was thinking more Miles for an expiring and a late first. a few playoff teams would do that. or maybe i'm crazy. yeah, bagley and 50th is like a penny on the dollar.

Would you consider trading miles for a role player like Thybulle, he’s contracted for a couple of years

I doubt Portland would do that though

I really wanted jalen hood schifino in the draft, smart player and passer with good d, trade miles to lakers for something including him.

You know they won’t balk at a trade

Read on Twitter

Cliff calls Cody a legitimate rotation player, and notes that 5 legit starters and 9 legit rotation players are hard to find.

Implying he doesn't think some of the players on the team are legit NBA players.

I mean it is pretty obvious we don't have that right now.
JT Thor is getting DNP, Theo was cut, Ish shouldn't be playing, McGowens as a starter is hilarious.

Richards and Mensah are playing center.

it was nice to see cody's energy and hustle out there. that kind of effort in infectious, hopefully. we have sorely missed having someone with that kind of effort.

I'm glad that it seems like they are taking their time with LaMelo's injury, but this team is seriously unwatchable without LaMelo, Mark, and Miller.

Would any of you believed me if I told you that Mark Williams lower back bruise would have him out just as long as LaMelo?

By the way, that summer league experience truly was a preview into what this season was going to be. A GM completely disregarding the idea of putting a complete roster in summer league making basically everyone look worse than they are individually and then actually doing the exact same thing with our NBA roster. Which if you wanted to tank, then fine. But don’t declare this a playoff roster after sitting out back to back free agency periods and pocketing the MLE.

Curious - for those like me who think this season is already a bust, what are the top two moves the team could make that would salvage some sense of satisfaction? That would allow you to go into the offseason thinking 'well at least we're aware things are broken and are trying to improve."

For me, Gordo must be turned into something of value before he expires and we must move on from Cliff in favor of a far more motivational brand a coach. Sure, I'd also like to move on from Terry, get a backup PG, replace Mitch, and be gifted a booze soaked weekend with Ashley, and but the first two would be my top two (seeing that I'm married).

On the flipside, for those of you who think we're victims of circumstance and that having an injury-free roster means we're a playoff team, what two moves could the team make or not make that would completely sour you on the season?

1. Move on from Mitch (and the rest of management, to include Cliff)

2. Trade Gordo and maybe Terry

I just get this sinking feeling that Gordo will be on the roster post-deadline even in a trade market Woj describes as having “lots of buyers, few sellers.” The stupidity of it is so Hornets-like that it feels written in the stars.

I basically hate almost everything about this franchise from top to bottom, minus a few players and the uniforms and court.
Gut it all. Burn it to the ground. Clean out the entire org.
Remove the rot that has infested every aspect of the franchise.

I don't think the team will do anything until the offseason.

1. Fire Clifford. Bring in a coach who doesn’t have an excuse after every game but who actually teaches the kids how to play together.

2. Trade for several players to compliment the young core who hustle try hard and focus as much on the defensive as the offensive end. In short toughen up the roster with more physical and versatile players. If this requires trading any of Gordon Terry Miles or PJ then so be it but at least add some guys who will actually fight for the team
