I wonder how the rest of the league views Masai. Do they still view him as a top executive or do they view him as someone who's luck has passed? Wasn't Washington willing to give him an ownership stake? No way they'd offer that to him now.

Agree -- especially on the team being bad.

If the Raptors extend Siakam, he'll perform roughly at his current level until either (1) major injury or (2) age related decline in his mid 30s. It is smart asset management to extend him

If the Raptors trade Siakam, or worse yet fumble negotiation so bad he walks, the Raptors will probably spend the next few years scrambling to find for a "#2" to support Scottie, and then face the predicament of what to do with Scottie as team control of Scottie's contract starts to slip away in 3-4 years.

We’re dog **** right now with Siakam smack dab in his prime. We’re already seeing fall offs in his performance, I do not think he’ll be worth a max even 2 years from now but sadly the position Masai put us in might force us to give him a 5 year max.
