Re: 2024 NBA DRAFT THREAD
Probably not bad enough to draft top 4 unless move up. Top 6 protected. Hmmmm at #5 or 6 draft Mataz Buzelis or Ja'Kobe Walter?
Tankathon has Ron Holland #1 and Walter #6. Geez, maybe they haven't updated since they have Cody Williams at #16.
Ja'Kobe Walter!!!

You just don't see freshman at 6'8 average 14 PPG on 60% from the floor and 60% from three and he is basically the third option on the Buffaloes. It is only 7 games, but he looks impressive and will only grow into his frame like his big brother.
I can't think of another 5 star recruits that Colorado got, but former Buffalo players like Derrick White and Spencer Dinwiddie are all those kind of bigger playmakers and Williams will be better than both of them. He is the younger bro of Jalen Williams, so his NBA lineage is another huge plus. To me, he could easily be the number one pick in this draft if he keeps his play up. Just a very easy player to project into the NBA with all the upside you could want.
You watch him as the third option and he moves without the ball, spaces the floor and can make good reads. Just a high IQ guy worthy of a top pick in this class.
This is who I have my eye on.
Last year, NBADraft.net had him going #1 overall. Then at the start of the season they had Risacher going #1. Ah Cody now back at #1.
Brandon Miller or Brandon Ingram 2.0? BI shot 68% FT's at Duke and his first 3 pro years shot under 70% but is now around 85% his last 4.5 seasons.
The thing is he is a 6'8 PG type, and with the outside developing he could be really interesting - like Scottie Barnes interesting although I don't know if his frame will be like Scottie's. I see him as a pretty smooth mover, good handle and probably more advanced than his brother at the same age - plus bigger. I can see why people have him at 1. He is upside and production all wrapped in one. I really like that he isn't even the first option, but somehow finds his moments in games to drop 20. Too bad for the wrist injury, but hopefully he comes back soon and regains his form.

Re: 2024 NBA DRAFT THREAD
Stephon Castle was hyped before the season, he's falling on draft boards, not having a good season at all.
This is why I never really buy into HS hype, I always want to see what they look like in the NCAA before I start following players
12.5% from deep and he's supposed to be a 'guard'?
I have a feeling there is going to be a ton of movement on the draft boards this year, more than usual even. The 'Top 10' this year is going to be very fluid leading up to the draft, teams will have completely different Big Boards from each other

I can’t get caught up watching guys like this. I’ve had my heart broken far too many times. Guys I like early on playing themselves out of our range is par for the course.

I’m not really that sure about Walter. Seems too 1 dimensional. Kind of gives more KCP vibes than a SG of the future. I’ll have to see more of him

That's fair - I know that heartbreak too well. If we do keep the pick you figure it is high lotto, so we will get someone good.

Cody Williams looks like the real deal but I won't get my hopes up. This guy will be a great player though.

Forget Cody Williams. I hate him, I would never want him on my team. If Masai/Bobby pick him I’m done with this nightmare forever!

That might be our only pick unless we trade Pascal

Judah Mintz AINEC as of right now, although Kwame Evans is also really starting to grow on me though.

Yes! Back in the draft! Jojo Tugler is a diamond in the rough. Doesn't fit an immediate need, but the kid is a beast. Reminds me a little of OG at Indiana. Trentyn Flowers, Wooga Poplar (great match with IQ), Trevon Brazile and Otega Oweh are others I'm high on

I wish we had a shot at Kel’el Ware or Kyle Filipowski, but more so Ware. Our biggest need is going to be a C like him. He’d fit like a glove after the trade.

Re: 2024 NBA DRAFT THREAD
If only the NCAA would let Zvonimir Ivisic play. Although, that could get him into lottery consideration. He looks Porzingis-y. Lanky 7 footer with some nice quickness, the ability to shoot it from range, and excellent shot blocking.
