B/R: Loser: Toronto Raptors' Trade Value

Post#1 » by ArthurVandelay » Sat Dec 30, 2023 4:15 pm

Tough to argue this, other than they are now 3-9 for December…

In December alone, the Toronto Raptors are 3-8, 26th in threes per game and tied for 26th in three-point percentage.

Being this underwhelming can't be helping to substantiate what's been, frankly, an outrageous asking price for OG Anunoby. It's also probably not convincing anyone to take on the last few months of Pascal Siakam's contract knowing you'd have to sign him to another big deal this summer.

As much as just about any team stuck in the morass of the league's middle, the Raptors need a teardown and rebuild. Whatever roster emerges, it should be filled with shooting with which to surround Scottie Barnes.

It's just harder to accept that reality when you don't have players who'll return a bunch of rebuild-ready assets. The longer Toronto plays like this, the less likely it is to turn Anunoby and/or Siakam into those kinds of assets.

If the offers still aren’t what Masai and Bobby want, clearly no one is afraid to play chicken with this FO anymore.

Luckily Indiana and NYK are close to .500 with no big win to stop Boston’s stars.

Atlanta is as disappointing as Toronto.

Dallas and NO are approaching mid-territory.

GSW are imploding.

The Lakers are sliding.

Memphis is trying to salvage a season.

OKC and Houston might push their chips in.

It’s past time Masai and Bobby.

To be a fly on the wall during Masai's and Bobby's discussions. The past year and a half has been a comedy of errors and bad decisions. They should have pivoted and focused on the team's future the moment Barnes won ROTY.

Masai is a fraud. The sooner you accept this the easier it will be to manage the frustration when Siakam and OG both walk with Raptors left empty handed

But Masai will give another presser telling us to believe in our city. Peak fraudulent behavior

I need to find my old posts from a few years ago mentioning that all our guys values are at their all time highest right now and we aren't a good team so we should rebuild and play through scottie while accumulating picks and assets.

Also mentioning that the longer we wait the worst return we will get and people argued with me talking about rebuilds don't work, etc etc. My god lol.

Imagine this team now with 2-3 years of asset collection and scottie development.

By waiting until now the number of of buyers may have dwindled. When watching the best teams currently, do they think they're one piece away? Probably not.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

So, a bidding war among all those teams?

Remember Masai said that he doesn’t like making trades during the season and prefers to wait till the off-season? Masai really limiting and hindering himself by stating that.

Toronto should have blown it up after seeing Scottie play and at the latest by the deadline last season. Masai has completely screwed it up.

They're not even in the office, just out chilling on a beach somewhere. They'll come back around late January.

Even then.

he says a lot of **** he doesn't mean. He also said play in for what and we will not be stuck in the middle. Yet we are going for play in's when there's the best prospect in NBA history and a strong draft, and we are in fact stuck right in the middle.

Teams will always line up for 3&D players, that's still very much the case this year.

Masai has become a lying politician since the chip. I mean what on earth does he do all day? I read somewhere that we have the least transactions since 2019.
If his priority isn't our team, he needs to go asap.
Our bench is ass but he can't even call up Freeman or Porter and see what happens, let alone make any sort of trade.
He has become a joke. So tired of his lies.
