Maybe RJ heard the trade rumors after his hot start and tried to tank his value to stay on the team.

In the end, the numbers will say that RJ was a much better playoff player than Randle and IQ COMBINED. Playing with that dude (Randle) and being able to thrive was an insurmountable task. Good luck RJ.

I never had as much hope for a Knicks draft pick as I had for RJ. I kept hope all along, and was kind of vindicated when he was the 2nd best player on a 2nd round team last playoffs.

But he's just not improving enough, and overlaps Randle too much (they are not trading Randle). This is really bittersweet for me. The trade makes sense I think (even if we probably overpaid). I'm not sure how I'll feel if RJ ends up breaking out in a couple seasons with a different jersey.
