Trade him. Embrace a full rebuild with younger players who fit Scotties timeline

Unless we get another 3/D player back or a high level young player, I’d keep him if we get an extension done today.

Scottie is now the full time 3, pascal the 4. They just got some consistent scoring help in IQ and RJ.

if there's a good package offered for him then you do it.....if they're lowballing then you don't. Extend him and build his value.

Extend and trade in the off-season. The market might not be there now and his value might not be there either.

I suspect they prefer Pascal's comparative consistency to OG's game. This trade suggests reloading and not rebuilding, and Pascal is still only 29, not some James Harden type nearing the end of a still productive career. With Quickley, a great outside shooter and possible lead guard type, this balances the roster rather well. Pascal has always flourished as a great second banana, and with Quickley and Scottie, he can be great in that role again. The interior passing will also get RJ more easier looks inside.

OG is off the market now, so I think Siakam's value might rise now.

Warriors, Pacers etc. might throw us a great offer soon.

If OG could get RJ, IQ, and pretty much a late first (since the Pistons are terrible), imagine what Siakam can command.

I agree with this. Trade suggests we will resign Siakam and look to be competitive this season and beyond.

Jarace, Smith and Nesmith looking good.

Two out of those 3 + Hield.

Buddy is now out of the starting lineup.

Either works, but one of them have to be done. Can’t afford to have him walk like Fred

We are back to evaluating

I don’t mind keeping him. One of pascal or OG had to go however and that decsion was made. I thin trent is on the move next.

Pascal wil have to sacrifice even more for Barrett who the franchise will prioritize hopefully he buys in

OG got us a great return. Siakam absolutely has a strong market now.

If we don’t resign him by tomorrow then perhaps we’ll just wait until the deadline to see what offers we get. If we are happy with our team we can just give him the extension after the deadline.

Dont pussyfoot around, we aren't trading OG and calling it a day, we need to find a good package to move Siakam.

If we get a home run you trade. If not you extend.
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Rebuilding has always been off the table but knowing Masai, the plan is probably to see how the pieces fit up to the trade deadline and then make a decision. If we start rolling and the fit looks good, an extension becomes more likely. If it looks about the same as now, he probably looks more a deal similar to OG with young players coming back that are ready to play.
