Cs have something great going.

Why mess it up?

Can't deny there could be a risk of that. But I think Markkanen would well be worth it..

No doubt the Cs would get the best player in the trade, but we would lose our only reliable defender against Giannis, Embiid, and Jokic.

wouldn't matter, we'd score 160 per game..

I prefer what we have right now.

Turning this team into the Suns version of D'Antoni is a bad idea.

That trade wouldn't do that.

How about a small trade for Grayson Allen, his game is a little more rounded than Hauser . We could trade Brisset snd Steven’s and a second or two

Why would the Suns make that trade? They play Grayson Allen 33 minutes a night. Even after Beal comes back, he's going to play major minutes as one of their few backcourt players.

That trade wouldn't do that.

Markkanen for Al weakens the Cs defense.

The offense gets better with Markkanen as the 6th man.

But it's not a realistic trade IMO.

Talk about seeing the world through green lenses...
What is anyone thinking you can actually trade Horford for Markkannen?
If not happening even with four or five first round picks.
Let's tryi to be realistic people.
And would be fantastic for the Celtic and I'm not worried about Al defense if they get him because of the huge offensive difference.

Did Al's defense stop Golden State stop Miami stop LA? Stop Oklahoma?

Yeah I'll take Lauri over Al any day of the week.
You got Tatum Brown Porzingis White Jrue for defense.

Tatum, Brown, White, Jrue, and even Porzingis will not be able to defend Giannis, Embiid, and Jokic for a whole game.

Come on, let's not undervalue Al's contribution, on defense, in the playoffs the last 2 seasons.

No way Cs beat the Bucks in 2022 and the Sixers in 2023 without Al Horford.

In economics it's called law of diminishing returns.

Markkanen is a legit NBA starter and will not be happy playing 6th man with the Celtics.

Whats makes you think he would be the 6th man?

White and Jrue are considered the best defensive backcourt in the NBA right now.

So you're not touching those two.

You really gonna sit JB?

Starting 5 aren't going anywhere.
Top 8 likely aren't going anywhere. We're the Best Team in the League, As Is.

Interesting trade yesterday. I was out of pocket so couldn't chime in.

But it kind of makes sense. It seemed like all 4 of those players (Barrett, OG, Quickley and Achiuwa) needed a change of scenery. Especially OG. And Quickley clearly wants to start, wants more of a role, doesn't to be stuck playing behind Brunson.

TOR probably wasn't gonna resign OG or Achiuwa so they get some value for them.

Barrett has talent. perhaps a change of scenery will help elevate his game. Perhaps TOR is hoping that they can get similar production from Barrett to what OG was giving them, but with Barrett being 3 yrs younger, perhaps he can improve a bit more - and is on a cheaper, longer term contract - OG will get a big pay day this summer.

Cross Achiuwa off the list of potential trade targets for the Celtics - that's my main takeaway from that trade haha. I was thinking Achiuwa probably wouldn't be the best fit here anyways - too limited offensively.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Brad gonna do what Brad does but I'll be okay if we don't do anything big in terms of trade. I think both Kornet and Brissett pass the eye test as 5-8 mpg playoff guys (if need be) running alongside any of our top 6. I'm already confident about our top 8 (yep, even Pritchard who's improved as the season went on).

With deadline for non-guaranteed players coming up, I'd let Svi go and just sign 10-day players as long as the CBA allows (if they're in tax savings mode). Can always add a vet or promote Queta later on. Keep options open as much as possible.

Might be a good idea. Would have to do some fancy dancing, though.
Also, Teams have to keep 14 players on the NBA Roster.

Sign Queta to a main contract & then trade Svi & a pick for Kispert.

Is Kispert that good really? He is not as good as Hauser. I don’t think he moves the needle much. Worth giving up a pick ?
