Worst ft% in the league

as of december 30, 2023 raptors have the worst ft percentage in the league. that cost them the celtics game and countless others. every game it seems they miss more free throws than their opponent. even the win against washington the other day they were only 68% from the line.

today the raptors missed the same number of free throws as the pistons. the problem is that the pistons attempted 12 more. boucher and schroder are about 80%, siakam is trending lower at 74% making 1.2 ft less than he did last year. gradey is 100%

culprits
poeltl 1.1-2 52%
gtj 0.9-1.4 61%
anunoby 71% down from 84% last season.

quickly 2.7-3.1 87%
barrett 4-4.8 83% is a significant improvement over 71-74% that he had in in each of the last 4 seasons.

So I guess it's good that Quickley and Barrett are shooting .872 and .831 respectively. Should help a little bit.

Edit: Not only that, but they both have a better FT rate than OG.

Get rid of "Mr. 1 for 2" and those ft% numbers look a lot better

Top priority is getting rid of Purtle...

Return to Toronto Raptors
