One thing I’m excited about is that IQ actually pushes the pace like Scottie does. Dennis usually runs things so slow

Quickley could honestly become one of the top 2 or 3 FAs that end up actually available depending on what older players end up doing such as DeMar, Tobias, etc.

He’s RFA and max he can be offered is 27M (someone correct me if I’m wrong). If he blows up I’m more than happy if he gets that contract.

Any team with the cap space (Spurs, Magic, Jazz, Hornets, Pistons, Sixers, Wizards should/could all have $25+ million) can offer him a deal starting at 25% of the salary cap ($142 mil projected) starting out.

His agency is Roc Nation Sports who's NBA clients include Chris Boucher, Isiah Stewart, LaMelo Ball, and Danny Green.

Most likely any other team's max offer would look like this.

$35.5 million in 24-25
$37.0 million in 25-26
$38.5 million in 26-27
$40.0 million in 27-28
TOTAL 4 years just above $150 million

Obviously I don't think he's going to get that type of offer, but I also think that he has a ton to play for financially and part of the reason that the Knicks traded him was because they already offered him $90 million (over 5 years tho so $18 million per) and he turned it down reportedly it wasn't 100% guaraneed tho some of it might have been incentive based.

I think Scottie and Siakam’s shot attempts and overall usage could come down. But I mean, that’s only because IQ would be balling like Dame Lillard or something. Scottie will have to learn to play with him. He didn’t like playing with Fred or Dennis and that’s fine, those guys are brick layers. But he better learn to play with a real star guard here.

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Yeah, it's nice that Quickley is confident that he can take advantage of any holes in the defense and score without waiting for backup.

Curious to see if he can get Jakob going again. How's IQ's pick and roll game?

I hear a lot of great things about quickley but I reserve judgement until I watch him more.
I have a bit of fear that he is a jamal Crawford type that feast on backups rotations. I know he played well with brunson out last year and put up good numbers, but it's a different beast when defense actually gameplans for you for a season as a starter.

On a side note 2 nights ago I was watching the top 25 under 25 podcast and was thinking it sucks that we only have Barnes in that list. And now we have 2 guys. So that's some good news.

He’s been unfairly labeled as that because he had been forced to play alongside Brunson. So yeah as a SG he would be but not as a PG. Most actual “PGs” (and not point forwards) are about 6’2-6’4 ish.

Anyways I think he’s gonna be a perfect fit with Scottie. So there’s finally something other than Scottie to look forward to now. Hopefully something gets done for Pascal today too (although it’s starting to get later in the day that it’s a bit concerning as leverage will go out the door if it’s not done today) and then we can finally have an intriguing product to watch again.

It would be hilarious if spurs swoops in and offers IQ the max and continues the tradition of screwing over the Raptors after the kawhi trade.

we already have an intriguing product to watch.

siakam will benefit from quickley as much as barnes. and people are sleeping on barrett... another guy that can get to ft line, next to siakam. legit every player in the starting lineup now has the ability to play on ball and create off the dribble for themselves or others. except for poeltl...

i honestly think starters should be
quickley/barrett/barnes/siakam/boucher

dennis/trent/porter/poeltl

off the bench. get another floor spacer for the bench and we can be fun to watch again.

Darko finally has a guard to work with that can manipulate screens and pull back and attack. Defenses will need to guard him on the perimeter. I think there’s next to zero chance schroader is starting over him. Just night and day players.

We also need to understand IQ needs to grow into now managing offense. That will take time. Curious how darko expands his game over the next 3 years.

Here in peace. Just want to wish IQ well. My favorite player for the Knicks for the past few years. High energy, high effort, high character.

Clip of him giving back:

You guys got a good one. He is going to be a pain in the #$@ to go against, especially for Brunson.

The Raptors should have given them OG and a pick for Barrett? What is that guy smoking? He seems to be getting worse as the years go on.

And you listen to him yesterday and he is down on RJ talking about him like he's just some bench player. People give sports analysts way too much credit.

Oh no. There are some who I know are biased based on which team has which player, sometimes which country those players play in. Most of them are just fans with bad opinions and heavy biases.

Brilliant of Masai to be patient to wait for the right trade... hopefully, he can do that with Pascal, and Gary.

I will be shocked if IQ is not an all star with the raptors in the next few years.
