I’ve watched IQ since his rookie year and i know this board will hate him. He’s more aggressive then Schroeder with questionable shot selection. I like his game but i know how scottie groupies get.

i’d say your assessment is accurate here. iq isn’t a pure point at all, he’ll often miss the obvious swing pass to an open teammate. you take the good with the bad there because you don’t want to take away from his scoring prowess

Adding some extra stats "A bit too reliant on his 3 ball to make a big scoring impact. And indeed, when I check his game log, when he only makes 1 or fewer threes = he only has 1 game out of 14 above 15 pts, and he had to take 16 shots in 28 mins for 18 pts with a -1 +/-. He also only shot 50 % from the field or above 3 times, and 2 of those were on just 5 and 6 attempts, so not too impressive. He didnt get to the line more when his 3 wasnt falling 42 times vs 49 in the 15 3+ 3pts or more games. Also shot below 40 % from the field in 9 out of those 14 games with 2 others at 44 %.

Makes sense when his limitations makes him not that good at scoring at the rim."

IQ gonna land in the Frozen tundra of Toronto then have a sit down with two coaches who speak Serbian, then head to his hotel and watch 5hrs of hockey highlights stuffed down his throat

Poor guy will likely risk the Lake Ontario waters and make a swim for it

ujiri adapted and stopped hating scorers/shooters, maybe some of this board will as well.

like most guards.

Lillard, Garland, Cade, Trae, Dejounte, Brunson and Fred are shooting worse at the rim.

"Why do they keep talking about these kids playing some hockey tournament in Sweden?"

Being in Toronto the last few days, I had forgotten how hockey-centric everything is on TSN and SN.

Frozen tundra? Dude, this is basically the coldest it's been all winter and it's only 1 degree out there and is supposed to get down to -2 tonight. In New York, it's getting down to 0 tonight. Basically the same.

Stats: 40% from three/50% from two/nearly 90% from the line. 54% EFG. Bball ref offensive rating? 120 plus.

But yeah liebert sure questionable shots will cause fans to hate on him. This team needs some scoring, pretty desperately, maybe enough to value RJ Barrett, haha, not sure if I'm joking. Anyways, He's no FVV type of scorer, that's for sure. He def looks for his own more (or even more) than FVV though I guess.

He’s been unfairly labeled as that because he had been forced to play alongside Brunson. So yeah as a SG he would be but not as a PG. Most actual “PGs” (and not point forwards) are about 6’2-6’4 ish.

Anyways I think he’s gonna be a perfect fit with Scottie. So there’s finally something other than Scottie to look forward to now. Hopefully something gets done for Pascal today too (although it’s starting to get later in the day that it’s a bit concerning as leverage will go out the door if it’s not done today) and then we can finally have an intriguing product to watch again.

Is he actually undersized? Kid has a 6-8 wingspan. Donovan Mitchell has a 6-9 wingspan and he just does fine at the SG position despite being 6-3.

Cap.

He has some of the better advanced metrics out there....that alone makes him not like Denis nvm he can actually shoot & space the floor. The numbers don't support your claim.

I used to think this too, but then after almost a decade living in NYC, no longer think that

NYC winters are way better - you don't get those frigid -10 weeks, it stays warm enough for snow to melt quickly and not stay around after storms, and it is just generally those few degrees warmer that makes it way more tolerable than Toronto winters.

he doesn't score at the rim. he scores from 6ft and out.

his floater is elite and so is his 3pt shooting.

He shoots above 50% from 2. He shoots like 40% from three. He shoots 90% from the line. HE shoots a lot of threes. He's a **** guard. That is something we NEED. He also puts up points. This is why he's a BENCH PLAYER averaging 15 a game. Yeah he impacts **** scoring man. I don't care how many games he shot above or below 40% or whatever.
