These remind me a little bit of the Gary Payton or Jason Kidd's from late 90s:

He doesn’t get the same criticism JB does and you know the coaching staff is just telling him to launch. His assist% peaked two years ago when they got to the finals and is down a couple percentage points since. They’ve added two good scorers this year, that should be going in the other direction.

Lebron made it to the finals with that cleveland team.
Bird would have won 4 rings with that team, in this weak ass era of basketball.

What a load of crap lol. He doesn’t get the same criticism Jaylen does? By who? The coaching staff? The same ones that Jaylen has gone on the record about trusting him to do more and more on ball? The staff tells the whole team to launch.
As for the passing, he’s averaging more potential assists per game than the finals year, and the same as last year, despite his usage being way down. It’s a matter of shot variance.
He just needs to cut down on the pull-ups by 1 or 2 a game. That’s literally his only issue.

SGA cut his three point attemps down and still creates six assists per game despite playing alongside a traditional pg and a great passing big man. I don’t think we’ll ever see JT cut down to three attempts a game but he should be able to clean up his game a bit and get the assist numbers up.

Shai has a higher Usage so that should probably translate higher. He's a G while Tatum is an F. Not really that hard to figure out. As previously stated. If Tatum replaces a couple of those pullup 3's with postups or drives we're golden. We know that shot isn't coming out of his repertoire so maybe just a couple less. Otherwise, defense is great. Passing is great. Scoring is great. Nothing else to complain about.
