At 31st, if Brazile is actually 6'10, can add some strength, he could be a nice fit if he continues to develop his 3pt shot (37% last year, 43% this year will obv likely drop but high 30s, low 40s is obv excellent). You can already see with how he's used in ARK that it could work in the PnR with Scottie or IQ. Not saying he's my pick but just thought he looked like he could work in the rotation with just how he's used...

He looks really good and way out of our new range. We’re probably going to make the playoffs this year, or at least be close, barring injuries.

not excited about this draft , wouldn't be surprised if that DET pick is in play again. Filipowski is out of range but thats one guy I think translates

He made more 3s in that clip than Giannis in his whole NBA career :)

He has deep 3 range too...

He certainly looks to good to last to 31st pick.

Any good 4th year players in the draft, feel like we target a older player

Some thoughts:

There's a lot of noise right now with numbers since conference play hasn't started/ is just starting. Small sample sizes + playing a bunch of absolute garbage teams means stats are all over the place. I will try and look closer to the end of February for guys who meet my criteria for translatable talent.
I essentially don't like red flags in numbers (high turnover% or low steals / rebounds, very low assist %, ft%, etc.)
I look for some kind of outlier skill and a BPM of 8.0+, or 10+ for upper classmen. Look at BPM of teammates as well and 3pt volume and % of teammates. Are they operating without spacing? are teams hesitant to double? or do they not care since the teammates won't punish them? Is there a guard getting them easy looks and always finding the open man or are most of their buckets unassisted?

In wings I like stocks and bigs I like high steals with lowish foul rates. I like a positive assist to turnover ratio for freshman and at least 2 to 1 for upper classmen. If the guy is the prime facilitator (plays the point)then assists have a lot of noise, but for bigs and secondary guys it is a very telling statistic.
Contested rim finishing is very important to tell you if they have that natural feel around the basket, but you have to adjust for the player type. (6'7 athletic wing who gets up and gets a lot of dunks and transition points over smaller guards
will naturally have a higher contested rim finishing % than a 6'1 PG)
FT% is more important than fg% and free throw rate is also an important stat.
oRB% can't be terrible unless it's a guard, but with noisy assist #s in guards they are very hard to evaluate. High offensive rebound % in guards is a key tell that they have a high bbiq and competitiveness. Team defense, strength/weight, and bbiq is way more important for NBA defensive potential than some scouting video/ report telling you a guy has good or bad lateral quickness and can switch onto guards. (Walker Kessler is very good defensive big already and Precious Achiuwa is a bad one, because one knows when to rotate and help and the other doesn't)

Scottie Barnes had poorish defensive rebounding numbers in college for a 6'8 wing, but when you realize he was defending opposing guards on the perimeter as often the smallest guy on his team that makes sense. So look beyond the basic numbers and ask if a red flag can be explained.

Johnell Davis had a monster game against Arizona this year. He probably goes undrafted but I would like raptor mgmt to schedule a workout.

I mentioned him a few pages back. I'd say he's more like the French Jalen Johnson than Giannis haha. I really like his game, and he's one of the youngest players in the draft meaning he still could grow taller (currently 6'9-6'10"). I will say though, he tends to cherry pick on defense, which can be annoying but you can coach that out of him.

As a Bruins fan who watches most games I have to say I hope we don’t take Bona. He’s still very raw. Poor footwork and no reliable offensive moves. Also very foul prone and kinda dumb when it comes to that

He’s a freak athlete at his size but that’s about it. He’d be nowhere near NBA consideration if he wasn’t such a freak athlete.

He could have a nice pro career as a Biyombo type by that’s not really what we need to go alongside the current young core

I like Bona, but he gives me Precious vibes in terms of being an excellent defensive player with a lot to be desired offensively

Precious has the skillset in theory. He’s just dumb as rocks and never improved. I don’t even see the potential in Adem. He can become a solid bench player but I’d be shocked if he becomes anything more

There are 3 UCLA freshman (not Mara) who I think will become better NBA players than Adem but doubt any of them enter this year’s draft. Perhaps one of the 3 decides to enter

No offence, but I never want to experience precious vibes again.
