The impacts of Bobby and Pat leaving the team in a trade are hilarious. Giannis/Khris are the leaders of the team and have been for a long time. As long as they are here and the team is winning (the most important part) they won't miss Bobby, Pat, Brook, or anyone else.

Pat and Brook look to have clearly taken a step back physically this year (Pat the last few years) and Bobby is fine, but if he was on a different team I doubt we'd be talking about trying to acquire him if we had the same problems. He's also a hilariously bad defender who's been played off the court in matchups before. I see people talking about Bobby like we need him to score or something and you have 3 guys in Giannis, Dame, and Khris who can shoulder the load on offensive for long stretches. Just need to be smarter with rotations.

Replace Beas in the starting lineup with a legit wing defender. Let Beas come off the bench and play with any two of Giannis/Dame/Khris and he'll still have plenty of the same shots.

Closing lineup in most matchups

Dame
Wing Defender
Whoever is playing best out of Beas/AJJ/Pat/Etc
Khris
Giannis

Feel like you need a center take out Beas/wing and move everyone up a spot and put Brook in.

Forgot about Jae. Can throw him in at small ball 4 and slide up Khris if you want too.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

Bobby being 2nd in the entire league in post up frequency (only behind Jokic lmao) is just asinine on a team with Giannis, Dame, Middleton, Brook, and decent shooting around them. He's doing it on mediocre efficiency, and he doesn't have good court vision in those situations either. His offensive skill-set is overrated and his defense is abominable, and he's going to have huge issues in playoff series against tier 1 contenders (Boston, full strength Miami, Philly, etc), especially with a coach like Griffin who I have zero confidence will put him in positions to not get exposed.

I unfortunately think smart teams recognize this, and we probably missed the window to trade Bobby for good value. He might still have some value though, which I think we should capitalize on along with Pat, MarJon, Portland 2nd, our future 2nd, and see what POA defender we can get, because if we don't get a legit POA defender before the playoffs, we're going nowhere this year.

Jae coming back looking anything like he did early in the season would be huge too, as that'd eat like 20-25 minutes at the 4 where Giannis could slide to the 5.

I think Bobby would be valuable to a midlevel team to just provide some stable solid production at a fair cost. His counting stats would probably look really good in a situation like that and maybe they can flip him next year for more. If one of your top 3-4 players he's probably a good stats on a losing team type guy. True title threat teams probably see the same faults we see and wouldn't pursue him. And from MKE's side, he's a tough trade due to having no other depth bigs due to wasting a spot with Lopez.

Scanning the standings a team that seems to line up ok with what I said is BKN. I assume they don't own their own picks so don't want to tank, they only have one good big and the rest are more wing types. So that DFS/royce related type trades seem logical for both. Have to dig up a competent big as a just in case too.

i believe, theres no trade where we can give any "asset" we have,
to get back something of need,
and it will make us better.

i just dont see other teams accepting what we have to give.

...
playing Marjon, AJJ and soon Jae,
in the rotation, should improve our defense.
i have mixed feelings on starting or having Malik come off the bench.

r we going to improve enough defensively,
for the offensive dip ?

...
in the 4Q vs the Pacers,
the Bucks made their las sub at 7:33.
no other changes the rest of the game.

also,
we didnt even run plays or any regular sets.
we fell into the Pacers trap of playing fast
and taking rushed shots.

outside of Giannis, who is known as a person who does not drink alcohol, everyone else on team seemed sluggish and possibly hung over. the pacers are a bad matchup for us due to their speed. not many teams have what they have, though, and i would still expect us to beat them in 7. so i'm not really worried about how we look against them.

We traded Jrue Holiday, probably the best community/locker room guy that might damn well ever put on a Bucks uniform, to improve the team.

If we can't trade Bobby and/or Pat to improve the team then well .

for the playoff times

dame 34 ------- payne 14
malik 24 to 30 - ajj 24 to 18
midds 34 ------- jae 14
G 34+ ----------- bp/jae mixture/matchup based 14
brolo 24 to 32 - bp 24 to 16

thats a 9 man rotation.
with all of the backups mins being situational and matchup based.
pat and marjon getting squeezed out of the playoff rotation.
but, cause of cam, malik, ajj, bp, brolo, possibly being on bad matchups, pat and marjon could sneak back in.

Did the 10 pages of trade ideas after each loss start after the title? Feels relatively new.

I think they're fine players, wish you could combine them though. Looney leaves A LOT to be desired offensively and I feel like as well as he can step onto perimeter players defensively for a big he can't really abuse it on the other end when teams go smaller leading to him having a more limited role. Poeltl I think has more to his offensive game but probably less of a switch candidate then you'd like. Finding the perfect center next to Giannis is a weird thing because ideally he is the perfect center.

One guy I really like without having literally any idea of his availability is Onyeka Okongwu. Every time I watch the Hawks I wonder why they mess with Capela and don't just give him the keys. I feel like he could develop into a nasty modern day center.

For about four years, the entire purpose of this board was to find a Michael Redd trade to bring us the big we needed to win a ring/get home court/make the playoffs/not be terrible.

Usually for Zach Randolph or, somehow, Jermaine ONeal.

Or RLEC (Raef Lafrentz' expiring contract)

These make sense from a standpoint of we were going nowhere perennially.

We trade Middleton while he looks healthy and get guard defender. I think we have small window here because its just a metter of time before Midds is injured again.

If you called Memphis offering Khris for Smart and Kennard, do they hang up the phone or say ‘yes’?

That trade makes me sick to my stomach.

I've thrown out Middleton for Smart/Clarke forever now. Assuming Clarke is ready to go for the playoffs I think it clearly helps balance the team. If he's out for the playoffs it's tougher but I still probably do it.

As opposed to having a once in a lifetime superstar in Milwaukee with an ever shortening window?

I would trade Bobby in a heartbeat. He's giving off a lot of Drymond vibes on the court this year. He's a step slower and just being a bigger ass than normal on the floor.
