If Bobby / MarJon / Portland 2nd could net Caruso in a multi-team deal that seems plenty tempting with our defense as it stands.

You’d need the right team to value Bobby with the assets Chicago wants. And that’s a big variable because the Bulls making a trade that makes sense would be a change for them.

MKE: Finney-Smith, Dunn
BKN: Portis, Beauchamp, PDX 2nd
UTA: Livingston, MKE '27 2nd

Sign Wenyen Gabriel. Get switch nasty overnight. Sick Dunn on Brown and DFS on Tatum when the time comes.

We trade Middleton while he looks healthy and get guard defender. I think we have small window here because its just a metter of time before Midds is injured again.

If you called Memphis offering Khris for Smart and Kennard, do they hang up the phone or say ‘yes’?

I've thrown out Middleton for Smart/Clarke forever now. Assuming Clarke is ready to go for the playoffs I think it clearly helps balance the team. If he's out for the playoffs it's tougher but I still probably do it.

That simply ruins our team. Smart is a fraud, and we've been rather awesome with Khris on the floor.

Smart's 3 point shooting % the last 4 years: 33, 33, 34, 28.

Pretty good deal for a 1/2 year rental. Siakam sank his value by saying he wants to enter FA. If anything it's stupid on our part because we lose Lopez and Pat salary slots if he walks.

I'm having real doubts about Dame as a championship player at this point to be honest; too old, doesn't play enough defense, and will be done in Milwaukee after next season most likely. He opens space up for Giannis but it still seems like mostly Giannis pounding the ball, think he's more the guy who puts up huge numbers when nobody else can.

Bobby's temper does seem to be a ticking time bomb.

yep all of the above. id be perfectly ok dealing him in the offseason for a reset once the new coach arrives. wed let the media spin it like it was a fit issue. it took harden several stops before his value totally tanked.... were still in good shape here value wise as long as we dont hold on too long

When he punched the stanchion the other night, it was a bit troubling. The call wasn’t that big a deal, and he got crazy. Have no idea why they didn’t give him a technical.

Is Khris playing tonight? I’ll hang up and listen.

Really? Not a great response to the specific trade. Khris has played in 28 games this year, Smart has played in 16 and Clarke 0 (out for the year)
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

My trade would be for Smart and Kennard.

Khris is fantastic, but we’ve entered that Michael Redd 2009, pre-ACL stage. If someone wants to give real assets, that help the team in areas they need help, pull the trigger.

Those opinions (from Bucks fans who watch him a lot) that Khris is not done, really give me hope that we will find some GM who also thinks that Khris is not done.

Kenard has played in 10 games this year. Just saying your argument about Khris possibly not playing tonight does not hold up well against the players mentioned.

I'll say this much, you've been predicting the destruction of Khris for, what, 7 years now? One of these years you'll be right. I doubt it's this year though.

Smart and Kennard are niether assets nor good players.

Absolutely.Fair point.

Just don’t see Khris somehow being better next year given his physical issues, so you’re banking on him making it through this season, and helping lead to a title. Could happen. At the same time, on a team with two terrible defensive guards, we’re running a third guy out there who at times looks like Lt. Dan on defense.

BTW, don’t blame the players for all the defensive issues. The coach’s scheme and rotation patterns seem the most problematic.

The Dame/Giannis/Khris 3-man lineup numbers are up to a +16.9 net-rating right now. Middleton's not going anywhere and you guys need to accept that it's not because of any "sentimental" past championship reasons. Something like the following is about as far as I'd go in regards to "breaking up the championship core":

MIL Out: Brook, Livingston, Portland 2024 2nd
MIL In: Herb Jones, Larry Nance Jr.

NOP Out: Jonas V., Jones, Nance Jr.
NOP In: Brook, Davis Bertans, Livingston, 2025 lotto-protected MIA 1st, all the 2nd-rounders

OKC Out: Bertans, draft assets
OKC In: Jonas V.

I blame players (at PG, SG and SF positions) for not being able to defend their opponents at least a little bit for both shoot and penetration. So our coach has to decide what they will defend because they are bad defenders and cant defend both at least a little bit.

Coach decided that they should defend 3 point line and that Brook alone (because Giannis is also defending 3 point line) will wait in paint. But Brook alone cant do it each game for 82 games. He was never that mobile and is getting older. Plus he cant do anything against floaters and long 2s.

My point: with such a bad defenders at PG, SG and SF any coach would be forced to choose what to give. Free 3s our free penetrations. Bud would pick free 3s. Griff pick free penetrations.

Herb would be such a good get.

I’d love a wing with size and quickness to guard 2-4. It would give us lineup versatility we’ve never had - go big and play him at the two or go small and play him at the 4. Having one player give you both those options could be huge.
