Really makes you wonder how much better our team would've been under 12 if he took the same approach instead of forcing, at times, to 17.
I loosely remember us having maybe the best offense in the league while Adams was out.

Chicago sucks but it will be a good test for Love with the pressure of the playoffs on the line. Just beat the Bears and I don't care what happens in the playoffs. Super excited for this dude's future.

Just saw the pictures from the signing today, super stoked to pick up that helmet I ordered and get it displayed before the game Sunday!

Interesting that none of his incentive targets are advanced stats, only QB rating and raw numbers.
He's got a couple million reasons to beat the Bears. It's pretty small dollars compared to his next contract though.

I doubt agents or the player pay much attention to things like EPA and things like PFF ranking is subjective. A little surprised QB rating was used because that's kind of a bunk stat but not surprised at all they used totals because those reward for both durability and performance.stillgotgame wrote:MickeyDavis wrote:?

Also it's super unlikely he would be Top X in TDs and Yards if he was playing bad, because he would have been benched.

Generally agree, but go check out Winston's last year in Tampa. It's statistically wonderful.

Nah that's what makes his stat line so great.

Winston is such a weird player, he's like 4-5 bad decisions per game away from being a HoF caliber guy.

Russell Wilson for example meets almost all of this bonus criteria but was benched. He's top 10 in TD passes, % completions and QB rating. Obviously financials had a larger play in that decision.
But the debate for me is still what matters more, raw stats or advanced? I'd say context and contract matter but I'm not really sure.

I don't think it's really that the counting stats are better, just a lot simpler thing to use for an incentive.stillgotgame wrote:MoMM wrote:WeekapaugGroove wrote:I doubt agents or the player pay much attention to things like EPA and things like PFF ranking is subjective. He was probably the best QB in the NFL the second half of the season.
