His mixing is horrible. Increase the crowd/court audio, lower Devlin and Jack’s audio. Please.

He's not as bad as "the guys in the truck". Whoever is the director sucks, I have lost count how many times they are zoomed into some dudes face close enough that I can see his pores, while the ball is already down the court, or we're watching 15 seconds of a replay and miss an entire play.

Props TZ!

Need to have court audio higher so we can hear players say "GIVE ME THE **** BALL" more clearly.

Side note since I talked to some reps over the years in arena.
4korners DJ doesn't handle the during play music or chant sounds, game ops is in charge of that and they are the ones who decide to drown out organic chants with stupid **** and music every play and they are responsible for how loud the in arena speakers are (wayyyyy to loud everything is distorted and bad for the ears)

I also believe that the mixing is horrible and the overall in-game production is bush league.

Went to the cavs game and I was shocked how quiet the in arena music was during plays. Like half the volume it used to be, it felt awkward
The guys in the truck are definitely drunk or something, Danny G would have never let some of this stuff happen

I only really heard of Danny G when he left the job. And he was on one of the talk show panels with Akil on NBA TV. But the missing of live action in favor of replays and/or closeups was happening for years and years, when Danny G was producer too. It's always been bad. Not talking about announcers, just the camera work, you just don't see them missing live plays like that. It happens 2-3 times minimum on Raptor broadcasts
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

If only Masai’s purge of all the team employees extended to game ops.

The load up replays to show us at dead balls from a play ago. So we never see a replay of the most recent play. For example, siakam will do some spin move they will get that replay loaded and ready, and then some horrendous block/charge call will go against the raptors and they show the replay of the siakam layup up when everyone and their mother just wants to see the slow Mo replay of the most recent play
Then the times they want to show the replay of the most recent play, it will go to a still shot of some random zoom in, and then we see nothing at all or we see them literally rewind the film at like 20x speed and still don't get to see the replay because they run out of time mucking around with the replay positioning and live play has resumed

My buddy and I have sent emails to mlse over the years about game ops, and they do kind of listen to feedback, I think if we all emailed them from this forum they would get the message from the volume:
We previously emailed telling them to stop playing the boom boom clap, Boom boom clap when raptors are on offense. It's the beat of we will rock you by queen and that's such a defensive song, we would keep stats over the years. More often than not when game ops played boom boom clap on offense we would miss, but when they play it on defense we would succeed defensively. So we emailed them and for the most part we only hear it on D these days.
One other one they mess up is a "song" or melody that increases in pitch and tempo as the shot clock climbs to 24 when we are in offense. So all it is doing is subconsciously funnelling a beat that increases heart rates and increases stress while our players are playing offense simulating even more pressure in our half court offense. Like just let the arena be quiet for a bit ffs, let players communicate and yell, let organic chants break out more often. I know the Toronto crowd gets all quiet and tense at the drop of some adversity but tryi g to drown out that silence with nonstop game ops noise is so **** dumb

Re: Article - Raptors Head of Audio
Why did we steal the kyrie game 7 shot defense beat from the Warriors? Where's the authenticity? We have our own iconic authentic defense beat already but idk why it's barely used now. First 2 clips in the vid

Everything about this team, from the TV production to the in-arena experience to the jersey design is so amateurish. We can do so much better.

100%. There’s a huge difference with other teams.
