ESPN’s Constant Knicks BS
Anyone else sick of hearing this BS?
?s=46&t=J2R-Aqv6bnmTx9kKcGeKKw
Who is this mystery superstar that’s the Knicks apparently are just meant to land with ease?
We’ve been hearing the same garbage since 2009.
ESPN’s basketball analysis is next level pathetic these days.
He’s not ESPN but Shams is the same with his constant insistence that for some reason the number 1 seed Minnesota are going to trade KAT to the Knicks for a few picks.
It obviously has these TV networks in tears that the Knicks haven’t had a superstar since Ewing.

Relax homie....
Basically all that is being said is they are 1 star away...
I'd tend to agree, has to be a really dominant player but weirder things have happen.
Don't get your panties in a bunch

There’s probably 8 playoff teams that are one actual superstar away from being a legit contender.
Yet the only team these clowns constantly mention are the Knicks.
Anytime they mention an actual player it’s some guy who isn’t even a superstar either.
It’s comically bad TV that we get subjected to on this garbage network everytime there’s a national TV game.
ESPN these days seems to forget there’s actual basketball games being played. All about what player the Knicks will get or how LeBron’s legacy is going. Embarrassingly bad content for the host of the NBA finals.

Re: ESPN’s Constant Knicks BS
If the TV execs (and by extension the league since that's who they pay) insist that so much that the league is better off if the Lakers or Knicks are always good and always have stars than Silver should just lobby hard to get rid of the salary cap, problem solved. The national TV execs want the NBA to be like baseball where the big markets can get whoever they want as long as they pay a luxury tax. But what's odd to me is do ESPN, SAS, and all the big media markets actually think the NBA would be more popular if all the stars just went to the same big market teams and whoever had the most money? Do they really think that? Do they really think just having LA, NY or EC or WC ratings would sustain the league and make as much money as the league has all this time?

Don’t worry.
In a couple of weeks there will be all sorts of talk on ESPN about how the Lakers should be able to pull all these stars from nowhere to play with LeBron and AD

When you say a break to paraphrase the infamous words of a convicted r***** R&B singer, "how long are we talking"(pause)?

They need someone to replace Quickley. That bench is looking a little rough.

Every single team is a superstar away, even the worst teams.
Because as soon as you land a superstar the clock starts ticking and everybody knows it, so the GM immediately uses every asset he has, any pick and hopeful young guy on the roster is packaged up for trades, the owners agree to pay tax because your ticket revenue goes up because fans want to see your new superstar, the ring chasers vets on the market suddenly want to join your team, the superstar's buddy from another team wants to join his friend, and presto: Before you know it you're a contender.

How dare you!
Shams clearly states that the Timberwolves would also land coveted Quentin Grimes and his 6.2 ppg.

The Knicks have a ton of fans, and they did get Melo, Stoudamire, and Chandler.
I think there’s a good chance they get Mitchell or someone else, especially with how often stars switch teams.
I’m a Bulls fan who doesn’t like the Knicks outside of Thibbs and Taj, and I can’t really criticize this too much.

I hate the Knicks but for the first time in a long time they are actually in a very good position.
Its not crazy to say they would be an attractive destination for a star player.

You do know it is the biggest media market in the league... Regardless of their record they'll always be hyped up simply because of their location bro

And they wonder why more and more people care less about the game when the only thing these idiots can ever talk about is what the Lakers and Knicks should trade for to be a contender
