Trading Quickley might bite the Knicks in the arse.

However, it’s been two games. Ease up

He averaged 22/5/5 in 20+ starts last season. He averaged 15 a game in only 24 games with the Knicks (22/4/4 PER36).

It's not out of line to say he's going to break out and average 20+ while being the lead guard.

With that being said, he has been fantastic the first two games. The most surprising element to his game has gotta be his defense.

20ppg and "star" are 2 different things.

FWIW i agree with you that its far too early for a thread like this, but he has been fantastic in the 2 games so far. He's been playing like an allstar these past 2 games, but for us to label him a 'star' we definitely need a larger sample size, but the play has been there.

Thibs is a buffoon that almost has to be forced to play young guys. IQ has always been capable of being a great starting point guard. But don't forget, usage means everything. Pretty much any NBA player could put up numbers with usage. Politics, not skill, prevent more guys from being able to prove themselves. I don't know how many times you need to see guys perform when thrust into the starting lineup due to injury or trade to get it.

I don't think he's necessarily hating on the idea of IQ being a great player, moreseo that whenever a new player on the Raptors has a good game, this thread inevitably ends up on the GB.

Trade him to the Raptors, let him play a game, and we'd see a "Terry Rozier is a future hall of famer!" thread in a day.

Premature, but I can almost guarantee it won't be for long. I liked the OG move, but the Knicks trading IQ will end up as one of the worst decisions ever made.

Other fans do it...just on their team forum.

I mean, its whatever, nothing wrong with being excited about a player on your team, but it is funny how often Raptors fans need the GB to know they have a new star player.

The knicks liked IQ but they already have Brunson at the point and they weren't going to give IQ a big contract. This has nothing to do with Thibs.

Quickley averaged 23 pts, 4 rebounds, 4 assists per 36 for the Knicks this season.

In two games for the Raptors he is averaging about 1 more point, rebound and assist per 36.

Kinda early for this thread my fellow raptor brotha

With that said, I actually like when the ball is in quicks hands, he makes good decisions, and has a good shot. Decent floater game. Needs to improve his finishing at the rim though, but it's only been 2 games

RJ has been okay, as a 4th option he's great, just has to fix that tunnel vision

Quick is good

I don't necessarily disagree with this, but in the Knicks case Brunson is better than Quickley. Him getting a starting gig in Toronto is great for him and his career. It happens all the time where you have two good players who play the same position.
