It really is. He's not even scoring but the chemistry of his fit makes the offense better. 75 points most in a half vs Sixers this year, the #2 defense.

Or maybe it's the subtraction of RJ.

They understand the game, same as most Knicks fans, I'm learning. Not like the fools here, oh he can't dribble, he's just a role player.

I've never been a stats guy but he's +74 after three games apparently

He plays in NYC. That’s the main reason why he’s getting praise. Obviously he’s also a great player. He’s just a limited player who can shoot the three and defend at a high level. I think one benefit to losing a guy like RJ is that they are getting shots from more efficient players now. Ball is in the hands of Brunson and Randle a lot more.

Now +/- matters?

I don't seek out any stats but if I see one I like I latch onto it.

Knicks were one of the low assists teams in the league, now they're way up for three games. The presence of OG is having unexpected effects. Unless it's the absence of RJ.

OG playing well will help us negotiate a better trade. Raps getting creditability cuz we got some talented players as Masai said but the fit has been terrible for some reason.

I'm happy to see OG get that praise but you already knew that would happen as soon as he left Canada. Lord have mercy if Siakam lands in LA.
