But when they tied the score all I was thinking like, if we lose this game is totally on us. Denver played terrible basket, prolly one of the worst half this season. Can't get hyped winning agaisnt a miserable nuggets performance. We lost so many opportunities to get ahead by 2 or 3 possessions, just because of bad decisions mostly by Paolo. I'm being super harsh, I didn't expect a win tonight but the refs and the nuggets gave us the win on a silver plate and we almost dropped it. We shoulda won by 7 at least, I'd be so much happier.
Cole keeps proving a lot of people wrong, definitely a keeper, he needs to finish games alongside suggs, both have been amazing.

You're getting some stick for this post but I don't think its deserved. The athletes and coaches themselves don't review performances based on the outcome, they're reviewing the execution and process.

So I'm sure the players, while delighted to get wins to halt a big slide, will spot the flaws in their execution and work on not repeating them.

We fans can just bask in the glow of a needed win against the leagues no1 team, while missing Isaac, Fultz, Franz, Goga, WCJ, Harris. There are some NBA teams who would swap n a heartbeat what they have today on their roster for those 6 guys.

The nuggets commentator did, he was attributing those stops to Suggs too.

Great win. If Suggs keeps that volume he could reamain a very good starter on the wing. He wont be a point guard with that handle and decision making but teams will have to guard him sooner than later on the perimeter. Mental health comment is important, some people act like they dont exist. We have many high energy but also high anxiety players. Those are great teammates but dont respond well to prolonged stress. Also Jalen mental health problems seem much less severe than Fultz.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

It's common for players to have a tough time dealing with the expectations. Jameer had the same thing. Even Tom Brady said that his game took another level when he started working with a psychiatrist.

Amen. It is OK to work on your mental health. Spiritually and yes, even getting counseling, therapy.

And as a final step of bravery medications are ok too.

If you need help friends. UCF's free counseling program got me through some personal hell.

Trevelin Queen looked like a poor man's Derrick White out there yesterday IMO. I want to see more of him.

Great win, I love the fighting spitit of this team, they never stop fighting no matter how bad the odds look. They could have packed it up when down 18 and so shorthanded, but they kept coming. Being hot from 3 helped too, it makes such a difference. When Suggs makes his threes it makes a huge difference for this team. And making threes makes it much easier for Paolo''s driving. Trevelin Queen was very solid defensively and played smart on offense, he is a nice depth piece.

The Denver commentators mentioned that Murray until this game has never lost to the Magic and in the fourth quarter it felt that he really wanted to change this, LOL, he was so bad. Suggs payed great D on him, but Murray helped him by just refusing to pass and going all heroball despite having the best pyaer in the world on his team.

Box score thoughts.

Orlando lost the FG% battle (barely) yet won the game. How?

Well: it wasn't possessions. Denver DOMINATED this in taking 13 more FGs tha the Magic.

It was fantastic 3pt FG% and, even though the Magic shot their FTs at a horrible 67.6% clip, the shear volumn of FTs overwhelmed what Denver had at the line, resulting in 7 more made FTs.

Unfathomable stat of the game: Jokić, Murray, and Caldwell-Pope combined to shoot 0 for 10 from behind the arc. That defensive stat line is as much the reason for the win as all other stats!

NBA Europe with the tagline "A HUGE DUEL" between all-time great Jokic and irritating gadfly Moe Wagner. Love it.

I love listening to Malone. Dude knows how to talk tactics. It reminds me of SVG in terms of just enjoying the analysis. Mose is ok but it's all culture and rah rah.

We need a nickname for the big guy who goes to the games. I noticed him on the floor at the Phoenix game, and last night, he was on the floor next to Denver's bench. It's got to be hard to get floor seats.

We've already had the fat guy and sweater vest guy. How about just calling him the big guy.
