Damnit, Quickley could have been the hero instead of everyone crapping on him
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Quickley hits all of them guaranteed, the fact remains this game would never have been closed for the fact that these fools hit 21 there's on 55% percent shooting

Welcome to the Raptors, IQ!

That said Raptors had a big FT advantage in this one, Kings broadcast was complaining about the lack of calls for Sabonis. Raptors lost because they gave up a million open 3s.

21 3s on 55% is what lost the game.

Was it our defense?

Was it just hot shooting?

Whatever it was. You aint winning a lot of games when that happens.

With Darko's genius game planning, we're bound to lose. I'm not even mad anymore. I just expect it now from this coaching staff.

The refs were a nuisance the whole game. They called way too many offensive fouls/travels. The non-reversal of a block because the follow through hit a players face when I've watched many games where that kind of contact was ignored. Why are you communicating with the replay centre at all if not to make the interpretation of calls consistent game to game. The refs were really bad and I'm not even complaining about it because of the result or that they missed a call in the last 2 minutes.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

I also didn't like those two charges that Fox drew in about the 2-4 minute mark remaining in the 4th as I thought they both were flops. The one against Poeltl definitely didn't seem like a charge because his feet weren't set, were wide apart, and he was moving with Jakob to try to prevent him from closing out to his man. As soon as there was contact he fell down, despite the fact that he was still shuffling his feet.

The other one may technically have been a charge, but it's the kind that I really hate to see when I watch basketball no matter who it's on. Pascal started his drive towards the hoop and was bumped hard by Fox to stop his momentum. So he tries his move again, and this time the moment there's contact Fox falls down. I've never understood why one bump is considered a foul and the other isn't when they seem to have the same amount of force behind them. The only reason seems to be that Fox flopped on the second bump.

And sure, maybe it's hypocritical because I cheered for years at Lowry getting those same kinds of calls. But I still think they're flops and the refs need to stop calling so many of them.

When I think of Lowry charges I always think of the ones where he is waiting and is completely plowed through, though he had alot of didn't ones in his bag, I admit.
But as I said the refs last night were awful overall, not just because they got a lot of calls wrong and missed many as well but because the imposed themselves on the game unnecessarily. It is not like this was the Knicks/Heat from the 90s.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

And this play also resulted in them losing a great chance to tie the game with 10 seconds left. Happened right in front of the ref

Exactly! Basketball is a game of runs. Crap defence and crap calls happen throughout the game but the ones that shift the final balance of the outcome are the worst.

This version of the roster feels like it has a higher ceiling now which is a positive.
