Who are you taking off in the starting line up then ?
Josh Collins makes $25M a year, good luck bringing him off the bench.

And Utah CHOSE to trade for Collins as opposed to starting Kessler. That says a lot.

And we chose to give up a pick, devalued a pick and pay 20M a year for a center. What does that say about Koloko ?
See how fraudulent that logic is lol.

he's regressed from last year...that is a concern....

Sure, but we all have experience with a certain second year player that regressed here as well

and there were concerns then too...newspaper articles were written about it; it was discussed on this forum. fanboys dismissed it as 'hater talk' but it was there.

koloko was brought in as a raw player; we all knew this.
kessler was paraded around here as the next great white hope. that bandwagon has crashed pretty hard.

All people said was if we didn’t give up a first for Thad and were targeting a big with the pick, we could have had Walker Kessler making pennies instead of paying overpaying Poeltl.
Not sure why you guys are acting as if Kessler has been ass this year either. He’s basically averaging Poeltl’s numbers despite coming off the bench.

Kessler has not been good this year.
The Thad trade was made for cap purposes. The FO (and other front offices) believed that there was very little difference between the 15th-35th picks in the draft. As of right now, they are right.
A team looking to rebuild went out and got Collins instead of starting Walker Kessler. That tells me they don’t believe in him long-term.

It blows my mind how wrong you are about things.
It’s truly adorable.

Funny how silent it’s been about him this year. People tried bringing up his limitations last year but some just refused to believe it. They thought he would become a deadly shooter, a mobile, switchable big and a future all-star.![]()
That’s not to say he can’t get better but there are some things that will be difficult for him to improve upon. Still a useful, situational big though.

Again, you’re making up things or taking the most extreme statements and making it seem like it was the consensus.
He’s a 2nd year player averaging 9/8 coming off the bench while making less than $3M a year. Poeltl is averaging 10/8 as a starter making $20M per year for the next 4 years.
No matter how much you want to distort reality or lie, we are objectively as a franchise in a much better place if we selected Kesseler and didn’t trade for Poeltl.
It was true at the moment and it’s undeniably true now. I know it hurts to accept that but you’ll be okay.
