Only 9 points but a big reason why we won this game.

We were known for bad starts prior to the trade - but RJ and Immanuel have single-handedly changed that narrative.

Yeah Quick+RJ are tough and play HARD. Loved seeing Quick just diving on the ground for the loose ball really early in the game to set the tone. No turnovers and his full court outlet passes were on target tonight. He made great reads.

Best PG we have since Kyle and I think he can be an All Star as early as next year.

I love the fact he has the floater in his bag. Been a long time since we’ve had a PG who can use that

Part of me is hoping he doesn't play TOO well, so we can get a bit of a discount on his next contract.

LOL we won this trade and is frankly is not even close.

THEY THREW A PICK IN TO

I love OG, but he was very, very, very overrated. In a few years we are going to look back and wonder how the hell did this trade go down. Cherry on top would be if Masai finds a solid player at 31

Real mature game from IQ last night. Offered a bit of everything but showed that he can contribute without needing to score a bunch. His ability to play/defend both guard positions and co-exist with Dennis and Gary or RJ is such a big positive. Little wonder why our offense has been jumpstarted. Great sign for the future of the team. We just gotta keep adding pieces now.

He had a great heads up play following a rebound and kick ahead outlet pass to Siakam for the fastbreak dunk. That was Lowry-esque.

That FG% is gonna rise to. His finishing at the rim #' with us has deteriorated, so some progression is in store there.

Was very excited to get IQ. I think it's a perfect situation for him to develop. So far, so good.

What I love about IQ is that he doesn't dribble the air out of the ball like FVV or Schroeder. He moves the ball fast and is quick in making decisions, often the right ones. A few clips from Warriors game highlight this:

Also his A/T is an insane 6.5 :o Tonight he has 4 assists and zero turnovers so far, in the first half.

Ya he is very good with the ball, doesn’t lose the ball when he handles through traffic and/but doesn’t make the sketch pass or tough passes through traffic.

He’s not an elite play maker like a traditional PG but he doesn’t need to be
raf1995 wrote:I just don’t think he has that kind of potential. I think we will regret not trading him for a haul in a few years when he’s a mid-tier starter with nice playmaking and defense and a shaky jumper.

IQ is my favourite player to watch on this team now. It feels so effortless with him.

If he can get more lift on his mid range shot + finishing better, he’s easily an all star caliber PG.

I think he's still trying to adjust and is focusing on managing the game more. His biggest knock was not being a lead gaurd. He seems to be easing in a bit and focus on creating and managing the game. Once he has that pat and the confidence of the team his quick decision making on offence will really shine. Seems like he is giving up a lot of shots mainly because his role has changed I assume. No longer is he a spark plug but expectations are to help run a team to show his worth contractually as a complete player.

Once he settles in and is more focus part of the team offence I see him taking up his scoring a notch. 25ppg is not out the picture and he off ball defence has been great as well. Dare say did we find our next lowry but with more offensive ability.

goes to show how this forum overrate its own players. 2 knicks (that this board often makes fun of) comes in and instantly becomes 2 of the better players that knows how to make an impact on the game.

You can pick up occasional careless foul as a backup. You cannot do that as a starting PG. That hand on AD for his 5th foul that was challenged last night can't happen. #1 didn't prevent the bucket. #2 it was too obvious a location to miss. I don't know if he actually pushed him or not but its not worth the risk especially in that situation.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Yeah OG's really stinking it up in New York
