This is one of those plays where Collins in particular would have yammed it home over Len versus Jalen taking a more difficult layup.
An elite play finisher gets this bucket or makes the defender foul him in the process.

Wonder what it would be if our 4th quarters didn't stink so badly.

Here's the kicker. Collins probably never makes it from the high post without either turning the ball over, stopping his dribble to pass, or just taking the middy.
I agree with the initial post saying JJ will eventually learn to draw a foul or finish better.

Most people say that Trae sucks off ball and that he gets double/triple teamed...how does that give with this?

Trae does spend a ton of time on ball which allows teams to double him to get it out of his hands -- at which point the offense falls apart.

So cool to have 2 Hawks all over this list.
I'd very much like to keep both Trae and Bogdan here, especially if we hope to make a postseason run as soon as the 2025 Season.

Did Indy really steal our model though?

The RingerThe Hawks were dismantled by an Indiana team that has built utopia atop the blueprint that Atlanta had created for itself years ago.
One imagines that Pacers lead assistant Lloyd Pierce—who oversaw the beginnings of the Trae Young era in Atlanta—feels absolved: His vision for Atlanta basketball has reincarnated in Indiana, under brighter auspices. Charitably speaking, the Pacers, who have surprised many with a 21-15 record powered by the best offense in NBA history, have given the Hawks a peek at what they ought to look like as they march closer to a potentially roster-gutting trade deadline.

Damn, Trae is such a better shooter off the catch than off the dribble. If he would just give the ball up more and cut to the corners, he could feast all day on open jumpers when the offense starts bogging down.

Agree, and it would be cool to have a third one I see on the right side (Hield).
The fourth would have been great too, but it's too late to trade for him (Turner)
If there's a small chance that Hield is still available (I'm not sure if IND are thinking the same now), ATL should look at it.
They can't use all game long, but being able in the fourth to play with Trae-Bogi-Hield would create so much spacing (and Hield has better impact at SF than at SG, so you can play these three guys together)

This was the offensive model 5 seasons ago. But we've lost our top shooter and best rim runner.
Seems like it should still be at the forefront of how we want to approach scoring in tight moments.
