Load management in January for a 25-year old?

Is there a team that is? I'd probably take the Celtics minus JT vs any other team without their best player. And that's not taking anything away from how good JT is, just how good the Celtics are 2-6

Here's the thing, the Celtics have a losing record if Jayson Tatum does not play.

The Boston Celtics have a 16-19 record without Jayson Tatum all-time.

Pacers going 35-3 in his games is insane given that they have at best been a mediocre team, and that's being generous. Are you sure its correct?

Probably made up like the one with Eric Lewis and Cs games.

To be fair, the Cs got away with one last season when JT clearly hit Lebron's forearm when Lebron was going for the game winning shot against the Cs at the Garden.

Cs ended up winning that game.

Yeah that was bad but it was a missed call this one was overturned on review which was weird. Whatever, we move on

I am talking about this year. We've struggled bad without Tatum until this year. We actually still look good without him this season, knock on wood

True.

Just move on.

Cs are most likely going to lose 4 or 5 games in January anyway.

Even the 2008 Cs lost 5 games in January and they still ended up with 66 wins.

Yeah, but the offense just isn't as smooth without JT.

Even in the last game against the Pacers, when JT was out, the offense was shaky.

It was only when JT returned that order was restored.

JB's just not ready to be the #1 guy.

"After review, the backside of Jaylen's head is considered part of the ball, therefore the call is overturned."

You see Jaylen in this video, going up and asking if he was hit in the head, and Williams says, "no". He clearly didn't look at the replay angles properly.

Oh I agree, they're obviously better with JT. But for the first time they're still good without him

Anecdotal Info: 7 of the Celtics 8 losses have come when Derrick White shot below 50% from the field or when he's missed the game.

It's clear White is to blame for these losses. Shoot better and birth babies during the offseason!

Teams would still have to fight for the rebound if the refs didn't call a foul.

Only reason why it didn't become a last second shot was the whistle blew when the ball was shot.

The ball didn't even hit the rim yet and the time was already stopped because the refs called a foul.

Bro, the pacers got the ball after jaylen’s shot with no celtics player in sight. Plus it’s 3.2 secs when they got the rebound. They would have more than 2secs to get a shot pff

That's because the whistle was blown immediately.

The Cs stopped playing when the whistle was blown.

If that was a no-call then the Cs would not have stopped playing.

You can see from the replay the players stopped playing after the whistle.

Nope. Just watched the replay just now. jaylen took the shot and was fouled at 4.2 secs. Pacers got the rebound at 3.2. They would have called a timeout instantly. Probably goes down o 2-2.5 secs tops. Anyway, none of that even mattered. Joe should have called a timeout to set jaylen up for a last shot iso, if that is the only thing Joe knows to call. Doesn’t matter. Jaylen probably wasn’t aware of the exact time when he shot that.

But... but... Lebron apologists are always saying the 80's and 90's were a weaker era than today's NBA.

Freakish 5 minute stretch to start the 3rd where Indy were fired up and scored 27 points and only missed one shot. Poor defence in that stretch gave them all the momentum.

Despite that, it took some horrible refereeing for them to get over the line. Tough loss.

7 minutes in the 4th today did matter though but ok..

This team has the best record in the NBA and was resting their best player in a random January game.

The only thing that matters with this team is what happens from April onwards.

The occasional regular season loss is bound to happen.

Oh yeah the good old It’s only ‘insert month of loss here’ excuse..not sure why we even watch at this point. We should all just tune in 3 months from now. If we lose a playoff game on some stupid **** I wonder what you will say.. ‘it’s only the ECF we are not even in the finals yet’ lollolol

Take a **** chill pill dude.

Never seen someone get so riled up for no good reason.

We’re top of the league and you’re out here going nuts like we’re getting smoked every night. Sport is meant to be enjoyable.

The only thing that matters with this team at this point is continuing to play consistently good ball and be healthy by April.

Who gives a **** about a third string scrub centers minutes in January and a random loss without our best player playing. Seriously.

Name me one team in NBA history that won a title and didn’t have some losses. You won’t be able to.

One mistake JB made in that last play is he went into defenders instead of avoiding them.

The play started with him against one defender and he ended being surrounded by 3 Pacers when he took the shot.

JB still has a lot to learn when it comes to making game winning shots.

Checked the replay again and it's very clear, JB got hit in the head simultaneously when Hield touched the ball.

It was a clear foul.

So this is just a case of the refs giving the game to the Pacers.

Time to focus on evening the series against Minnesota and remaining unbeaten at home.

What? No, an NBA player should know--especially at the end of the game--how much time is left. It's not luxury. It's common sense.
