Re: Pascal Siakam Trade Speculation Thread
I would do that Lu Dort +Bertans +Carson for Pascal . We need a versatile young Defensive Forward/Guard that can spot up from 3 around Barnes like Dort

That could be the framework, but with IQ they'd need a third team.
IQ and Murray together is too small imo.
It's not too bad because both are well above average from a wingpan standpoint, Murray 6'10 / Quickley 6'8
I'm more concerned about their fit offensively and whether Murray wants to actually be here,

But lets be honest Atlanta sucks and doesn't look to have much hope to contend in the coming years, we need a top young scoring guard to pair with Scottie and we have a major trade chip in Pascal
Pascal, GTJ, +3 firsts For Trae and Matthews
For Toronto this makes a ton of sense and we are instantly completive over the next 5 years, so picks are not needed. Would ATL be willing to part or do they see a path to build around Trae? IDK but I bet he demands a trade at some point and I find the fit perfect for the direction we are headed.
Now that the Raps have IQ, why would they even be interested in Trae?
Because we might want to contend for a title again.

Murray would fit really good in New Orleans. I wonder if they'd give up Trey Murphy in a deal for Murray.

If the best they can get now is Harrison Barnes and late picks then I don’t mind this trade for the Raps. Raps can re-evaluate fit in the off-season.

After seeing OG traded , anything is possible.. but why would the Hawks still consider Pascal now with rise of Jalen? I can't see the fit there anymore.

I don't know how much faith to put into Samson's 'scoop', but if true I find it hilarious that Dejounte immediately decided to sign an extension after hearing he might get traded here.

It would be even more hilarious if Atlanta shipped him back to the Spurs after he took a dump on them for not handing him the keys to the franchise after being drafted like, 30th.

I would take Murray just as the value is better than what some of the other packages are (ie GSW, SAC, etc)

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Re: Pascal Siakam Trade Speculation Thread
Dejounte’s contract is such a steal tbh. Under market value imo compared to the inflated contracts teams have been given out.
No wonder the Spurs want him back lol. Kinda like if the Raptors wanted Norm back because his contract is a steal for a bench role player.

The problem is if Jalen Johnson is the real deal or just a by product of guys like DM and TY. Kinda like the John Collin’s situation, who was overrated and signed so they can be traded later on.
Right now JJ is erratic and not able to produce on a nightly basis. Do the Hawks wait for a few years and waste TY’s prime? I’m pretty sure it’s a great topic regardless of who JJ plays for.

Man Murray has such a s*** attitude idk why anyone would want him. Wasn't there also a report yesterday that said Murray has zero interest in being traded to Toronto? Guy will probably throw a fit if he gets here

Anytime up to June 30th. We can offer 4/192M. After a trade he's stuck with the 2 year extension.

Murray strikes me as a selfish stat hound. Maybe he changes to more winning ways but I don't think he even wants to come here anyways.

if Dejounte is traded here, Scottie will never touch the ball again. Also his defense has regressed big time.

You messed up the part where we are supposed to give the spurs a FRP for McDermott, have you learned nothing!

Props TZ!

He also is redundant now that we have IQ, prior to the OG trade I was on board bringing him in. But now, makes no sense, there isn't enough ball to go around for IQ/Scottie/RJ/Murray

Props TZ!

I don’t think a few million will throw his decision off when we’re talking about almost 50 million a season either way.
Yeah I'm no cap expert so I don't know the exact difference in dollars that a team with bird rights vs FA will end up being.
I’m pretty sure (could be wrong) that a team like the sixers who have a lot of cap space coming up can offer him a max contract next offseason (4 years 196 million). Our advantage is that we can offer him 5 years instead of 4, which we haven’t shown to be willing to do (or else he would have signed it already).
Blake Murphy was kind of insinuating that the Raptors didn't want to offer Pascal the full max. So who knows.

Re: Pascal Siakam Trade Speculation Thread
I would think Rui, Reaves and a pick in a three way is pretty solid especially if you can also pry Griffin. I feel each of those guys will increase their value and you can flip GTJ for a backup big. Suddenly this team has a great bench and has a lot of depth.
