Jaylen Brown is not a very trustworthy source on things like this.

You’re not a trustworthy source in any take on Brown or Pritchard, snitch.

We're all grumpy but let's keep it civil, please. Debate the post without insulting the poster. -b

"Incidental contact to the head"

I'm supposed to blame Jaylen's head being in the way of Hield trying to block his shot lol.

Better they missed todays L2M report because this make things much worse :D
Incidental contacts  Hes going over his head to get block on JB's shot......
The same goes for KP. Wasnt foul for me simply because Mathurin jumps into him and nothing else.
Like how Embid keeps getting fouls called and we dont even get this obvious crap right?

Trying to absorb this from refs/rulebook POV...

So the minimal and incidental contact to the head didn't alter Brown's shot (as opposed to someone minimally hitting your wrist/arm --- this would be a foul). It was JB who altered his own shot because he felt Hield's hand touch the ball or felt someone contesting from behind.

Sports betting, now that the NBA is involved?

You could see the exchange on the broadcast last night though. After they overturned the call JB went to the ref for an explanation and put his hand on his head where he got hit and said he got hit on the head. And the ref smirked at him like he was trying to pull a fast one and shook his head and said "No."

Can you bet midgame? Odds of Celtics winning probably skyrocketed after Hali went down and we were up double digits at halftime. But the wise fans know 3rd Q is where we collapse lol.

It's a lot of extrapolation from that exchange to "Ref said there was no contact." And in any case, it's Secaucus, not the refs, who decide these replays. The refs on the floor called it a foul.

Probably the most Eff the Celtics fans and organization L2M report as possible.

"Nah we're standing by our BS call and oh just for good measure he's some more non-sense to keep you all riled up"

No idea but, even if you can, most bets were probably already made when that play happened (and maybe even before tipoff). I was suggesting a Donaghy scenario but with the league being a participating party.

Thrn Seacaucus missed it, too. Williams would have told the on air broadcast sbout the incidental contact if that was what they felt at the time, and he didn't. Also said a firm no to Jaylen clearly on video. Why wouldn't he have mentioned the incidental then? Say yes, but incidental, not no. They **** this call and found a way to cover themselves.

What do you mean missed it "too"? The refs on the floor called it a foul, Carlisle challenged. The refs originally called it the way you guys wanted it but because the replay center overturned their call they are apparently life-long Indiana Pacers fans trying to screw Boston and Jaylen Brown and also involved in some massive betting scandal. This is silly.

You are clearly not paying attention. Both Ref Williams and Secaucus must have missed the angle where Jaylen got hit on the head. Hence, nothing was said in the on air explanation, and he alao told Jaylen a firm no when he asked if he was hit in the head.

He said Hield hit the ball but that's not the same as saying he didn't hit Jaylen. He's not out there to give an exhaustive explanation. He's there to announce the call and move on. In any case if the refs were out to screw the Celtics they wouldn't have called that foul in the first place.

It's just one game.

Maybe this is payback for the one the refs missed against Lebron last season.

Cs got a win because the refs didn't call a foul on JT when JT hit Lebron's forearm on a drive to the basket that could've been the game winning shot.

The result was it went to OT and the Cs won.

WOW guess JB should have gone full LeBron and fell to the ground as if shot and writhed on the floor holding his head while screaming

This one always gets brought up but there was another incorrect missed call in that L2M report. Davis commits an offensive foul (I believe on Jaylen) around 40 seconds left, that play the Lakers scored on. Should have been wiped off. Yes lebron was fouled by Tatum but this needs to be known as well.
