Maybe this is payback for the one the refs missed against Lebron last season.

Cs got a win because the refs didn't call a foul on JT when JT hit Lebron's forearm on a drive to the basket that could've been the game winning shot.

The result was it went to OT and the Cs won.

This one always gets brought up but there was another incorrect missed call in that L2M report. Davis commits an offensive foul (I believe on Jaylen) around 40 seconds left, that play the Lakers scored on. Should have been wiped off. Yes lebron was fouled by Tatum but this needs to be known as well.

Yeah, all part of professional sports I guess.

The NFL is worse.

That 2018-19 conference finals where the refs didn't call pass interference on the Rams robbed New Orleans of a Super Bowl appearance.

Or not double pump. Just shoot and flail upon contact. Jimmy Butler has gotten so good at it.

Watch this happen soon to Lebron or Luka or some of the more "protected" stars and see how the call goes in their favor. It's inevitable.

Silver lining? This should unlock a whole new level of blocks from behind for White and Holiday!

We wish. They'll call it per usual after this.

White's been called for so many of these "incidental" contacts trying to block from the side/back.

I thought you were referring to Adam Silver's lining.

Then I realized Adam Silver is bald.

Bad officiating at the end of the game.

Tough loss. But this was expected without Hauser playing.

bisme37 wrote:So to recap the last 2 minute report for those coming in late, it says contact to Brown's head was incidental and didn't matter despite that it clearly altered the shot.

But the final Pacers possession should have been an offensive foul on Myles Turner instead of the shooting foul on KP that gave Pacers the winning free throws.

Incidental!!!! Most fouls are incidental, they’re still fouls. You can’t foul someone on his follow-through, you can’t hit his leg on the way down.

He got hit on the damn HEAD while shooting.

This is mindboggling. It’s not a close call. There’s a clear shot of the dude hitting the shooter in the head as he’s shooting!

Nuts.

But if refs were determined about the outcome at that point, probably doesn't get overturned anyway.

Didn't we lose the challenge earlier

The call Joe challenged, early, but a stupid play to challenge. No way they reverse that charge on Jaylen. Still don't know why he picked that damn play to waste his challenge on. It was obvious in real time.

I still think that the solution is for the Player's Association to insist (Deal Breaker during Negotiations) for the bottom 10% of refs to be canned EVERY YEAR, with no return to the NBA.

It would greatly enhance the skillset of those who are reffing game. And for the salary and benefits they pay refs, it's certainly in order.

The NBA has a real talent for taking a bad situation and making it worse.

Time to move on. JB will learn from this, and I don’t mean the clear foul… or he won’t.

Seriously though.

1. Some of these newer Refs need way more Training in the G League (and elsewhere).
2. We need (at least) 2 more refs.
----- A. One on the floor.
----- B. One at the Table for Review. Could be a Retired Ref.
----- C. A Trainee at the Game, but not officially calling. Maybe more than 1 Trainee.

AND, Secaucus doesn't know what TF they're doing.
They need a better plan for something like this. = I feel like a bunch of AI's would do better.

He's still a VP of the NBPA right?
Brown and others in the Players Association need to see that things like this are addressed.

This is more than a money matter (which I feel the former Reps were about), it's about integrity.
Gotta eliminate this type of scandalous appearance.

I agree with you, but the scandalous appearance in professional sports is not going away any time soon.

That's life in sports entertainment.
