Well good on the NBA for moving heaven and earth to get the Lakers to the 10th seed.

It's still too early.

AD and Lebron have their scheduled missed games due to injury after the new year.

Again, the refs on the floor called it a foul. It took a coach's challenge and a review by the central Replay Center to overturn it. So where do you take your conspiracy theory now? Is it:

1. Refs on the floor called it a foul essentially giving the Celtics a win but expecting the Pacers to challenge it and to win the challenge? That would be a very risky and extremely stupid way to fix a game.

2. Replay Center fixed the game? But why would you bribe the Replay Center to fix a game when they may not get to influence a game at all and if they do, only two or three times a game?

Sure, in this case probably not. But it's not just game outcomes and spreads, there's every kind of prop or parlay and odds that change constantly. So now we have incompetent refs like always and ones with favorites and vendettas in addition to potentially easy money on any number of outcomes. When I've just watched a game that feels like a long advertisement for gambling it's on the top of my mind too.

Shocking the NBA backed the ref lol.

Sure, the NBA will note missed calls but zero chance they were going to disagree with this Pacer fan ref that overturned this call.

Jaylen gets pissed, calls the refs out. Next game he gets a season high 13 fta's. Feels like the NBA equivalent of the league trying to buy his silence! (I'm joking, mostly)

I'm more surprised the NBA didn't fine JB after his post-game comments. Calling for the game to be investigated due to officiating would normally trigger a fine. NBA probably knew the refs screwed up and didn't want to compound their mistake.

JB didn't get fined because he did it the right way.

Instead of saying something bad about the officials, JB simply asked for an investigation.

Nothing wrong that.
