If Capela is available, I'd love to trade Wiseman for him.

Re: Around the League
HOT TAKE: Gores, while not exactly basketball savvy and an avid connoisseur of the booger sugar, has not been the historically bad owner that most paint him to be. He’s repeatedly put big money into the team in order to compete, and he made hires that were universally accepted as great hires at the time. It’s just unfortunate his people have failed so miserably.
I can’t stand the guy, but it could be much, MUCH worse

Ron Artest predicts that Victor Wenbanyama will drop 101 points on this year's Pistons:

How many owners have had a worse win/loss record over their tenure?

None...
Also, most of our guys are the losingest guys in the NBA in their short careers, to no ones surprise. https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/nba-active-players-with-the-worst-winning-percentages-in-nba-history-minimum-100-games-played

So yeah, not convinced it could be much worse at all.

Heard Darvin Ham is the next one to get the axe, would they be interested in a coaching swap and want Monty instead?

The confetti from the in season championship parade hasn’t even landed yet lol
Sure, based on what I’ve seen so far, send Monty and cash considerations
But clearly it’s not going to happen. I believe there was an issue with Monty & AD back in NO.

James Dolan? Donald Sterling?
What about all the teams that lost key players because their owner was notoriously cheap?
Like I said, he’s a lot of (negative) things, but he 100% opens up his wallet, you have to admit that.

Re: Around the League
They usually have odds by now on the top 10 coaches to be fired..
Comcast screwed up the game yesterday. I woke up this morning to watch the games on TNT, and as I saw Denver make their comeback, Jamal Murray gets a steal, time-out, and the game runs out, despite the "automatically record to the end of the game" and even when I opened up another program from my DVR, Inside the NBA, it started with an interview, so there's about 3 minutes unaccounted for. This happened before, and I guess it's probably why I'm the only one I know with cable.

Sure, he could be a worse person, but both Dolan and Sterling had more on court success than Gores has.

So what about the fords with the lions? They’re having on field success now, does that make them a good ownership group and negate all the past failures?
It’s definitely not as black and white as you’re making it out to be.

I'm not going to sit here and celebrate Gores or play the "it could be worse" game with you when we're setting records for futility. I guess if you're interested in sorting out how much one owner sucks versus another and that gives you joy, you do you. But if they suck, they suck, IMO. I'm out on Gores. Feel free to go on rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic if you wish, though.
WCF was the owner of the Lions for a long long time. Neither he nor Martha did much good at all, IMO. It seems the new generation that has taken charge has had a bit more luck and savvy. But they also haven't won anything real yet, so I'm hardly holding up the Lions as something inspirational. Win a playoff game and we'll talk (haven't since 1991 and didn't before that since like 1958, so, yeah, pretty terrible).

I'm happy to see Boston hold Indy to 101 points.
As a loooong time Piston fan there are numerous things about that statement that I find darkly humorous. But I'm also deadly serious; it's good to see the "best" team in the league make a defensive statement against the "best" offensive team.

Yeah they should talk to Göodell also. Rams/lions in Detroit first round. Lions should be 2nd seed.

Re: Around the League
The SGA(25), Chet(21), and Jalen Williams(22) trio is looking incredibly promising. Jalen Williams is just 22 and looking far ahead of our #5 pick Ivey from last year he's averaging an efficient 18+ PPG (44% from deep) and playing solid D.
Tonight that trio combined for 84 points on 31-44 shooting including 7-9 from deep. Just an incredible 3 player foundation still super young and full of potential.

SGA and Chet have a bunch of great shooters and good defenders around them (Lu Dort / Isaiah Joe / Kenrich Williams for example), so yeah, they're a well built roster and a good team.

Re: Around the League
Much how like Knox is better than Livers.... The Grizzlies are waiving Bismack Biyombo and he's a better backup big than Wiseman or Bagley.... we should consider cutting our losses with one of Livers, Killian or Wiseman and we should bring someone who can actually provide some paint defense to back up Duren.
We've gotten flat out embarrassed in the paint the last few games.
