Probably locker room problems. Lord knows Howard and Cousins are the sanest folk around. Hell watching cousins was hard based on who he was. Wasn't even effective as a bench role.

Did you watch DMC play at the end there? He's an offensive C who became an inefficient offensive player who fouled a ton because he couldn't defend or move anymore. His last season he averaged 3 fouls per game in 15 minutes - that's putrid. Nevermind the 1:1 Ast:TO ratio. Why would you bring that guy in? He played for 4 teams in his last 2 years, that should tell you something.

Dwight's 38 years old. Enough said. He became a negative on the O end towards the end of his career, and the D fell off too making him a neutral asset on that end at best. What's the point in that?

Biyombo is still horrible on offense, but he can defend still. If you need a defensive specialist C, he can fit the role in short stints, that's why he got his short contract and subsequently got waived. I wouldn't sign him for anything more than a 10-day as an emergency fill-in.

Sounds like the raps will be adding a C on Sunday on a 10-day contract.

Either Biyombo or Gueye

According to team sources, the Raptors are weighing a veteran addition like Biyombo, who could play a few minutes right away, or a young player they develop.

Included on that short list would be Mouhamadou Gueye of the G League Raptors 905. The Raptors would need to sign Gueye to a 10-day deal since they have no NBA right to him but it’s a name that was being kicked around the Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday.

What the Raptors won’t do, however, is fill both the roster openings they have. They will leave one open until after the trade deadline in case there’s a two-for-one or three-for-two transaction they like.

The 10-day deal won’t be announced until Sunday — the Raptors won’t waste days on a Friday road game and the two off days before they play again.

Biz for a 10 day as a stop gap solution works. I like the news that the FO wants to keep the open roster spot for trades - they are still looking to trade Pascal.
