5 Assist/1 TO are elite number. For a back up i will be happy with a 5Assists/ 2 TO. But most important, a guy who can control his way of play and not TO the ball at crutch time.

I wonder if todays KA play against BOS will highlight his strengths as a pseudo bigman with four shooters around. He had 17pts, 8rbs, 5asts, steal and block.

Is there any team that could use Anderson in such role as a pseudo bigman? For instance, does it make sense for IND to give up a late FRP or two SRP to get KA? IND are fourth in East... Although I read multiple comment from IND fans that Nembhard is untouchable, my pipe dream is still to get Nembhard. So here are different dynamics: Nembhard has kind of down year, he three point shot is not falling, Ja is out for this season and our MEM pick will not fall as low as 40th.

IND have 8.2 mil cap room, is following trade correct according to CBA rules: KA, Leonard Miller, MEM 2024 SRP for Nembhard, Nwora?

No way. We’re giving up the most in that deal, by far. And for what? Just to move Andersen?

I actually think Indiana would be an ideal fit for Anderson. I actually think they end up with Siakim, who is a supercharged Anderson, if they think they can resign him. I don’t think we can get Nembhard, but I could see Indiana as an Anderson destination in a three-team deal, them giving a small asset to a third team for Anderson.

I’m looking at either backup PG: Tyus, Morris, etc. Or a shooter: Bogdonavic (either), Kennard, etc. Coming up with enough matching money and enough assets is going to be problematic in making a deal.

I don't really get the Nembhard love. I think there is a good chance we give up the best 2 pieces in the trade - and it doesn't really help us this year.

Getting back to Assists and Turnovers. There is no doubt Conley is a fantastic A/TO guy. But something struck me last night and when I looked deeper I found it very interesting.

The thing that struck me last night: In a 53 minutes game we only had 9 Turnovers (5 by Ant...).

The interesting thing: On the season we turn the ball over at a higher rate when Conley plays than when he's on the bench.

That's probably because Conley plays a lot with Ant, KAT and Rudy who turn the ball over a lot. Minnesota did do a good job handling the ball last night.

This is why I hope Minnesota goes for another PG before the deadline. If they can cut down on TOs, the scoring will go up. No need to get a wing shooter who might not even play in the playoffs with Jaden and Ant getting 40+ minutes.

I am not sure how to make these work but I only want to trade to a difference maker.

Tier 1
DeMar DeRozan is #1 on my list. I am not sure if the Bulls are ready to go full on rebuild but I would love to pick him up and bring in an elite 6th man . He would be our Andre Iguodala for the GSW. He could run the second unit and make clutch basket down the stretch when we need them. He is on an expiring deal and if traded to a non playoff team could be a buyout guy.

Malcolm Brogdon is #2 He brings another big guard who can take mins off Conley. He plays good defense shoots 40% from 3 and is a 5/1 asst/to ratio. He is also signed for 1 more year incase Conley doesn't come back next year. Also, he's not even starting in Portland.

Tier 2
Tyus Jones He just doesn't turn the ball over but also don't think he is a real playmaker. Solid #2 PG who shoots 40% from 3. Just not the defender but against second units playing off Ant or Towns should be good.
Luke Kennard not really sure how I feel about adding him cause he's not a ball handler however the guys shoots almost 50% from 3pt.

Tier 3
Jordan Clarkson he just gets buckets but not much of a shooter but, would be a great complement to NAW off the bench.
Collin Sexton I might like him more then Clarkson. I think he is a bull dog defender and would bring some energy to the second unit. Also, an above average 3pt shooter.
Only problem with these two is they have 2 more years on their contract
Tier 4
Dennis Schroder 6/1 Asst/TO ratio right now but not a great shooter

I love Brogden, but I don't know how you get to his salary without going into the tax this year.

Kyle, Shake, TBJ, WMJ and McLaughlin gets you there financially, but then you have to add a bunch of minimum guys to get to the roster minimum. And I don't know why Portlans would want that pupu platter.

Naz+Kyle works and Portland probably does that to get Naz - but I don't.

Obsession? Nembhard is a big guard who can defend and be pass first player that we need. Also his contract will help us a lot. He plays behind Hali and might never have a chance to show his potential, it is in similar situation with Quickley in NYK. Giving up Anderson, Miller and SPR for me is fair, because I see Nembhard as a missing piece here. There is a high chance that we will let go Anderson in offseason, and Miller has a long way to find a role in NBA.

You can call it obsession, but fair trades happens in NBA. NYK are 5:0 after acquiring Anunoby, and Quickley looks great as starter in TOR.

P.S. I am totally biased but I dont get why we need injury prone Brogdon on massive contract. I love Tyus but he has limitations as defender and will chase a big contract. I like Monte Morris fit here, but he is recovering from injury and will seek new contract. I dont see many chances here.

Haven't watch Newbhard played. Looks like he is not a good 3pt shooter? However I would do the package for Quickley ( if he is as good as Quickley). If you have a choice of Newbhard or KA+WAS 2nd for Tyus Jones, which would you prefer?

Only trade I could think of that would get us DeRozan, I think this costs a bit too much imo.

Caruso / Ant / DeRozan / Towns / Gobert
Jones / NAW / TBJ / Reid

Feels like a bad trade.

I think if either trade offer is presented we should just take it and run :) Tyus is a win now move, I am not sure that we can afford to resign both Tyus and Mike. Nembhard is on Hinkie special contract for two more years. Nembhard's shot is not falling right now, but I dont have any concerns that he can improve.

Jevon Carter looks like he might lose his spot in Bulls rotation with Lavine back

Bulls might be moving him for expiring (Milton?) at that point, Carter has $6.5 mil '24-25, PO in '25-26

Why do some fans here want Derozan? He is known as one of the worst playoffs frauds of all time.

I don't see Wolves moving Anderson, so fairly limited options with other salaries

would hope that Carter would get back to his career norms for shooting, has been pretty decent catch/shoot in his career

Carter only makes about $6 million, he wouldn't necessarily require Kyle in return.

For example, Shake and Wendell (combined salaries equal $7,421,720) for Jevon Carter and Julian Phillips ($7,790,476) would be doable...

What I mean was that with Wolves not moving Anderson, they can't get back a player with salary much higher than Carter
not Anderson for Carter

just not that many non-rookie scale players in that $5-8 mil range

but yeah, your proposal would be what it would have to be
