Re: PG Celtics - Domination
Is it possible that if the Bucks actually lock in a bit, against a Boston team without very many good ball-handlers, that their ball-pressure style actually works in a playoff series? I know it leaves the rim susceptible, but Boston isn't exactly littered with offensive savants, as far as offensive initiation. I ask this irrespective of tonight's game. I always thought in the 2022 series, when we actually had better defenders generally, we should've pressured Brown and Tatum more often.

B2b is not a valid excuse when the wolves were on a b2b last night and didnt even get to boston until the afternoon and still took them to OT

Jrue getting benched the entire second half of his return to Milwaukee was the only real downer.

Hard game to gauge. Did the Bucks do anything different on D or did the Cs have rubber legs from the b2b. Still think b2b are stupid.

Cs were crap. bad shooting night. Pritcherd's airball at the start showed early what was about to happen.

Let's get the important stuff out of the way first. This was a Big O confirmation and redemption game:
1) I had several posters, in an attempt to minimize the importance of Bobby's rebound prowess, lecture me two days ago that rebounding was not an important part of defense, only to have Kenny the Jet, Shaq and Charles state exactly that word for word.
2) Bobby.
That's all.

Both. Bucks were focused, moved the ball, communicated on defense especially. Celtics have no one who can guard Gianni consistently and if Dame and Middleton not only give you high-level offense but can compete defensively, that's a hell of a recipe against a very perimeter-oriented Celtics team. Who admittedly looked a step slow from the start. Once it was apparent they couldn't hit any shots they essentially folded.

Of course I couldn't watch, got home late from work.
Great to see we had a win of this magnitude. Hopefully we can build off this momentum.

Re: PG Celtics - Domination
Very nice game from Andre Jackson Jr. They had him guarding Tatum, and he did a nice job staying with him and sometimes switching when he had to. Two defensive plays from him that stood out tonight: 1, he was on Tatum who got a screen from Porzingis near the FT line, he switched onto Porzingis who rolled to the basket. Tatum shots the midrange, Jackson Jr escorts gangly Porzingis past the baseline with a strong box-out, completely out of the play. Bucks rebound Tatum's miss. 2, he and Beasley are both guarding guys off the ball near the right corner. As the two Celtics players cross, Jackson Jr wastes no time picking up one of them and telling Beasley and waving to him to get the other guy. Love the communication and the assertiveness in telling Beasley what to do on defense.

Re: PG Celtics - Domination
Tonight was awesome. My takeaways will mainly hold to the first half only since the 2nd half was basically all garbage time
The shooting variance in the 1st half was incredible(Boston under 6% lmao), but even if you normalized shooting the Bucks would have won the half by double digits. Griff and the players definitely treated this game like it was a playoff game. Griff ran only an 8 man rotation(no Payne or MarJon) and the intensity was definitely raised up. The Bucks desperately needed a game like this and this should hopefully calm the nerves of the fanbase. Ultimately this was only 1 game in a very long regular season, the Bucks have to be able to keep up this level of play, but this was a very awesome game and very much needed.
Coming into today there were 8 teams ahead of the Bucks in net rating and we had only played 5 games total against that group(3 of which had been the Knicks). So I'm excited we're finally starting to play some better teams, I've been curious for awhile how we would fare against the top teams in the NBA after having a very easy schedule to this point. Basically the teams on that list are the only games I care about going forward(Boston, Philly, OKC, LA Clippers, Denver, New Orleans, Minnesota, & the Knicks)

I'm sorry but I love the Beasley Boogie.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: PG Celtics - Domination
It was fun but I feel it was a weak effort by the Celtics where they were forced to play guys. Try hard for a quarter so they don't get fined and then sit the guys if it isn't competitive.
Celtics lost multiple games up by 30 in the fourth last year, right? Like no reason to bench guys that early. Just a **** product. NBA is to blame too since they know they can't control the teams so don't second back to backs on national TV. It's so fing dumb. They had multiple years to realize stars won't play back to back and they refuse to stretch out the season ten days to eliminate it

Or these guys could play a kids game for the millions they earn. Celtics are frontrunners and the fact they strike suck fear into most of yall baffles me.

The Bucks defenders were prepared for Brown and Tatum's move sets, and used that to show help repeatedly, and also steered both players away from their best stuff.
It was basically the exact opposite of what Jrue did versus Jimmy Butler

You spelled Beasley wrong. AJ Green can provide everything Beas does, plus more, but that isn't what we need from the SG anyway. Sell high on Beas, and then go get what we need.
