we dont need murray... but he holds value believe it or not. His contract is gonna look real good in a year or two and he can definitely play. If we could get a young guy and murray, trade dennis for a late first or another young wing we are in a decent spot. The only issue is I highly doubt Murray will be ok with coming off of the bench for us. But we need to get off Siakam unless we want to give him the 5 year deal.

Thanks for sharing. Their fans seem to be fine with the potential rental, because I think they are confident this current iteration isn’t going anywhere.

A few have Trayce Jackson Davis as untouchable, but they don’t seem so glued to Kuminga. They are fine moving off Moses and Podz. Even Klay.

A few also admit that they haven’t had a guy that could get to the basket like Pascal.

Whatever we get from GS, send to Utah for Lauri & John Collins.
John Collins is a bad contract so that'll bring down Lauri cost a bit.

If pascal is traded to the warriors, I could see Jakob going with him. Jak isn’t an ideal fit for the new team and the warriors need size. Warriors fans have to be realistic. They think this version of wiggins and a heavily protected first is all they need to give up for a major upgrade. All fan bases can be delusional but TJD shouldn’t be untouchable.

Warriors are one team where a Pascal rent-and-walk wouldn't necessarily be the worst outcome. They can show Steph that they're trying to compete now with a player ready to compete with their core now, and if he doesn't decide to come back they can enjoy the significant lux tax savings (particularly if they're able to get us to take on the Wiggins deal - which I think is a non-starter for us, but who knows). If the cost of that is 2 or 3 of Podz/Kuminga/Moody, the downside risk isn't too bad unless you actually believe any of those prospects are going to become star players (I don't).

I swear to god if we take on wiggins contract in a siakam trade I will absolutely lose my ****. Stay as far away as possible from that bum wiggins.

If GSW had the assets to get Markkanen wouldn’t they just take him instead of Pascal?

WE DONT NEED MURRAY.

Murray is terrible for this team.
IQ loses confidence as main PG and Murray plays with another undersize trae-like pg in IQ.
I'll cancel my sportsnet+ subscription if we do this. :banghead:

Dejounte Murray would be amazing on this team. Quickley isn't as ball dominant as Trae and we still lack that ISO scorer that can create his own shot besides Siakam. I think a lineup of IQ+Murray+RJ+Barnes+Poetltl would be deadly. Murray can defend the point of attack allowing Barnes to guard more around the rim which should allow him to conserve energy and use it more on offense. Barnes looks gassed carrying the load on defense since OG left...another perimeter defender will help

Markanen isn't really on the market, unless you want to pay a Gobert/Mitchell price for him. Almost everyone is tradable for that price.

After watching the Raps defense without Poeltl, do you really think we can afford to be without him? I guess they could give us Kevon Looney or TJD back, but neither is good enough to be a full-time C otherwise GSW wouldn't be where it is in the standings.

So we trade Jak and we have Thad starting every game, is that the plan?

Jazz will want at least 2 post Steph firsts, lightly or unprotected. Masai likely wants 2 of kuminga, moody, TJD, podz. I think we’re better to deal with.

I don't think Dejounte makes sense here with the other playmakers we have on our team. And if we're involved in a Dejounte re-route to another team (assuming Pascal is the one going out), I would want a better young player than Reaves coming back.

Why not? I thought Raptors fans wanted to go young?

Barnes would never touch the ball again if we got dejounte to play along with IQ.

We have IQ, we don't need to double up on skill sets.

you can't have too many playmakers especially with the way we want to play. People said the Clippers getting Harden was a bad move because there's not enough touches to go around but they look deadly. If we're trading Siakam, I'd want a playmaker in return and imo Dejounte is a better playmaker than Siakam

check Murray’s defense and his numbers again because he has been bad this year and probably had one good defensive season based on the trend.

ya'll acting like Barnes is some ball dominant player that needs the ball in his hands to be effective. Dude is the least selfish player and will find other ways to be effective. You want to surround him with scorers/shooters

Also can we do Gradey for Keyonte if he’s available?

why would they do that? Their both rookies and George has shown a whole lot more.
