Pascal Siakam Trade Speculation Thread

Still think the Hawks can get a deal done with OO, one of Bufkin/Griffin, and Bogi + Mills for salary purposes.

Yea, I don't like seeing Scottie in the OG role.

His DEPM has plummeted since the OG trade because he's a poor POA defender (his defensive metrics were poor in his first two seasons as well since Nurse also used him as a POA defender). I really don't get why we keep using him in this role. He had an elite defensive impact before the trade because he was being used as a help defender. I thought we'd finally realized how to use him (he's a Giannis on defence, not an OG), but no, we just reverted to what hasn't worked for 3 years now.

it's more out of necessity moreso now with OG gone but I do think RJ has potential to carry that role temporarily until we address that need

In the depth chart, Barnes can play more backup SF behind Barrett. That way he can post up the smaller players.

If true and this is really the way it’s being looked at, I don’t see it taking till the deadline. I see no reason that Siakam would be motivated and mentally there with the team throughout the next month
