you understand that everybody takes their turn at being wildly wrong about prospects right? that goes for the armchair experts in this thread up to nba gms.

but that is also why so many of the morons in these draft threads need to cool it on telling people how stupid they are when discussing prospects, because the reality is none of us have a damn clue what is going to happen with 95% of prospects. honestly that's the biggest issue with this forum - the expert complex so many posters have when the reality is, my wife who never watches a second of basketball, could predict prospects as well as anybody here since its a gd crapshoot.

Him shooting 9 threes is a pretty easy recipe for disaster, but his finishing wasn't very good either. 3/12 from 2, most were missed inside of 3 feet.

Tatum was -31 yesterday in just 15 minutes. He was on pace for -62 had he played the same minutes as Scoot.

Time to call Tatum a bust!

Tell me what elite quality he has to be taken top 3. Name me one thing he will be great at. I think he was drafted because he looked good without a shirt on

I have watched almost every Blazer game this season and he stinks.

He may not always stink, but he stinks now.

I do wonder if he can set a record for lowest VORP in NBA history this year.

Olowokandi in 1999-2000 has easily the worst VORP in NBA history at -2.6 (second place is -2.1), Scoot is at -1.2 so far through 28 games through 28 games. If he plays 40 more games, there's a chance he could beat Olowokandi's record.

I'd love to have a civilized discussion about him, but I was told that I was an idiot for having him lower than 2 and for questioning things like his shooting, size, and inability to finish at the rim. I will give him this though, he does get left open for a lot of wide open shots, and has no problem letting them fly.

Did Tatum shoot 4-21 in that one?

The bashing after five games was pretty weird, but he's played enough to say that he's having a historically bad rookie season.

Some guards have had just terrible rookie seasons only to turn it around (Darius Garland, Jalen Suggs), but they were still a decent bit better than Scoot has been this year.

Still only 30 games in though so maybe he can get to the Darius Garland/Jalen Suggs level of a bad rookie season instead of an unprecedentedly bad rookie season.

49.5% at the rim and a FTr of .216 is pretty atrocious though. I don't see him as a guy who can score inside at all, too ground bound. Needs to become an elite shooter to make the rest of his game work (which is what I though pre-draft as well, that he had no upside without being a good to great shooter. Outside of a couple rim rollers, no one has any upside unless they're really good shooters)

I'm glad you're keeping this same energy. You still gonna be doing this when he's throwing up stinkers in his 3rd season for a losing team?

You guys remember Jonny Flynn? I'm getting similar vibes from Scoot.

Where’s your energy in the Jabari thread? Didn’t you call him a bust immediately? If I recall one time he went 1-10 in a game in November of his rookie season and that one game was enough for you to write him off. Hard to take your opinion with any seriousness when you throw out takes like that.

Once again you’re telling on yourself. Didn’t you have Scoot top 5?

That's not really the point. Nobody had Scoot as a bust. If you had him outside of the top 2 you deserve props.

So what exactly are you patting yourself on the back here for? Brandon Miller is not the hill to die on, bro.

You put so much energy into hating Scoot, it's just strange. You're like the opposite of the dude who is promoting his son Chris Ledlum. Just give it a rest already. It's beating a dead horse, except with a real possibility in a year the horse is going to kick you in the ass like Jabari.

Miller has shown actual NBA skills though. He has length & shooting. His floor is so much higher than Scoots that it's not even funny. In todays NBA you have to be able to shoot 3's in order to stay on the court.
