We need some legit talent coming back for Siakam. Not just a bunch of mid. The stars are the ones actually worth paying

They literally just started rebuilding/tanking. They’re going to be fine in a couple years when they add a few more pieces and their young players grow. People said the same **** about OKC and look at them now.

Thing is, guys like Shai, Chet, Williams were very good right from the start of their careers.

Sharpe, Scoot haven't been very good at all. Doesn't mean they won't improve with time, but I can't see them ever reaching the levels of those OKC guys.

It was still a horrible trade for them. Any Blazers fan would tell you the same thing

Doesn’t matter, they’ll literally get top lotto picks for the next few years. They’ll hit on a couple of those and their young players they already have will keep improving.

That's what DET thought, doesn't always happen that easily.

When OKC lost by 70+ points to Memphis a couple seasons ago I bet you used OKC as the example like how you’re using Detroit now.

OKC was always a decent team that needed to actually rest key players like Shai in order to lose consistently.

DET is trying to win and they've won 3 games all season.

I just don't know how you can look at the NBA standings and think, yes tanking is the only way to go. It can work sometimes, and sometimes it will absolutely fail.

Like Boston had one really bad losing season and they drafted Marcus Smart with it. They got lucky cause Billy King is the single worst GM in NBA history. That's where all the rest of their top picks came from. Never did a sustained tank.

Denver got Jokic with a second rounder. They had two top ten picks, only 7th each time. Got Murray once and drafted Mudiay who sucked with the other.

Minnesota doesn't really fit the mold of multi-season tanking either. Neither do the Bucks or Pacers. Bucks had two top ten picks and both were busts (Maker and Jabari Parker).

Looking for the one right way to build a team is doomed to failure.

...or maybe they won't, just like how Raptors drafted Ed Davis, DeRozan, and TRoss, and only one of those guys is still in the league.

Yeah, Demar kept improving and eventually became an allstar. You can’t hit on every prospect but you will eventually if you commit to rebuilding and development.

They’re gonna regret not giving a serious offer for OG or Siakam.

It’s funny we’re critical of the Trail Blazers. We’ve been among the worst teams in the league two seasons running despite trying to win. I’d rather be a clearly rebuilding team and terrible than try to win and still be terrible. We have the 7th worst record in the NBA and our fans are still on their high horse.

TSN2 has Dubs at Bucks tonight and NBA TV Rockets at Celtics. No Knicks on free TV. Don't these programmers know that all Canadian fans want to watch every OG game? My rights are being violated here. :noway: :nonono: 8-)

But ... we're a different team now. B2B, missing traded players, yadda yadda ...

Still funny, tho'.

Watching Fred and Sengun hog possession after possession is so **** gross.

Hawks getting a beatdown by Kuzma and the Wizards.

At this rate, either the Nets, Hawks, or Raptors will be a 10th seed by default..... nobody seems to want it.

Return to Toronto Raptors
