The point is why tf would we do this? You tho k removing Siakam AND Scottie from our team and inserting Steph is gonna do anything?

It would actually make us a worse team lol. Take off the superstar goggles

Nothing but respect to Siakam when he's dealt. One of the best Raptors ever. What a development arc.

Only way I think ATL is involved in a deal with us is a 3 teamer and DJM goes to SA/Lakers/GS , but even then I wouldnt like the return vs Indiana

Mills would be waived though. It would still be a 3-1 with the Pacers.

meh dont like atl's return if JJ isnt involved. we need a wing starter 3+D, nesmith is the guy

Completely agree but I wouldn't rule it out.

Have a hard time believing it…

Or I don’t want to believe it but the reality is setting in..

sucks we're not going to see a larger sample size of Siakam with Barnes/IQ/RJ......I hope the return package is at least nice.

One thing I'm hoping for is that the defense improves with Siakam gone....his defense has been Demar-like for awhile now.

To be honest, regardless of everything going on behind the scenes, he's been a professional on the court. I respect him for that. He's pretty much drama free and still plays with effort.

Haynes is a 50 50 guy

some stuff right some stuff wrong

Raps in trade talks with a lot of teams for Siakam doesnt mean he will be dealt 100%

heck ... we waited and waited for Masai to get what he wanted from NY to give up both starters and a pick (and also force them to take the 2 bozos)

As blake said yesterday, we want a headline young piece in a trade, not a quantity package filled with picks and average assets

if we dont get it, i see them extending

Pass on the Mavs.

Even if it's Lively, I just don't value offensively limited Cs that much. I think adding another talented wing will be FAR more beneficial but especially when we're locked into Yak's ugly contract for years to come.

IND imo is THE team we need to get a deal done with in a package that MUST include Walker.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's moved this weekend given the circumstances. The risk you take by waiting is if Siakam suffers an injury between now and the deadline, you're basically forced into re-signing him whether you want to or not.

Dallas package might be more interesting than reported Kings deal but still nothing exciting, you need a key young piece in any trade for Siakam.

It's going to be a sad day like when OG was traded 2 weeks ago, but I'm all for it if we get a comparable package back. I also think Siakam has become pretty underrated as a 2nd/3rd option and he would be a massive boost for a team like the Mavs especially while he'd elevate teams like IND/ATL to the top 4-5 of the East. I'd love to see him win another Championship one day.

It'll be interesting to see if he plays tonight, I could see them sitting him longer to protect him rather than aggravate his back before a deal.

He's not re-signing. You can't disrespect a star like that. I've never seen this before. The question is what kind of rental price we can get for him from the interested parties.

I don't mind DAL, mostly because I like Green, who I think would fit really well with BBQ and he has room to grow with a bigger role. He only just turned 23, he has a 6'10 wingspan and he can shoot it.
