He's not re-signing. You can't disrespect a star like that. I've never seen this before. The question is what kind of rental price we can get for him from the interested parties.

Money has a way of changing feelings.

If the Raps offered a 5 year deal, he'd re-sign in a second.

And that key piece has to be a young forward who can shoot.

Music to my ears. The hold up, like someone already said in this thread, is likely the Raps' insistence on including Mathurin.

Perhaps top 3 development story in the league behind Jokic and Giannis.
Best of luck to him and he will change the title odds once he's traded.

It'll be interesting to see if he plays tonight, I could see them sitting him longer to protect him rather than aggravate his back before a deal.

There's nothing wrong with his back.

I think the injury report is believable in this case, that fall he had in the Lakers game was pretty awkward and he was moving awkwardly at times for the remainder of that game.

Or Nembhard. Given the timelines, it makes sense to cash in on Schroder's value and bring in a young, talented PG. I want to keep RJ at the 2.

My guess is he goes to Philly for Tobias and picks. Masai gets a player he can re-sign for less than the max and 2 picks.

I don't mind Nembhard at all as long as he is not the centerpiece of the deal.

Always though Indy was both the most likely and most favourable Siakam trade destination

His DEPM has plummeted since the OG trade because he's a poor POA defender (his defensive metrics were poor in his first two seasons as well since Nurse also used him as a POA defender). I really don't get why we keep using him in this role. He had an elite defensive impact before the trade because he was being used as a help defender. I thought we'd finally realized how to use him (he's a Giannis on defence, not an OG), but no, we just reverted to what hasn't worked for 3 years now.

it's more out of necessity moreso now with OG gone but I do think RJ has potential to carry that role temporarily until we address that need

But Scottie isn't a good POA defender. You can put anyone in that role.

Betting odds were what predicted us getting Kawhi when there were otherwise no other signs. They definitely mean something

Heard their package was picks heavy, and didn't see any rumored players mentioned.
