Not sure if Bufkin would've been any better than Gradey so that's a wash, but Wallace or Hawkins would've been nice to have right now.

I didn’t vote in this poll. But keyonte George was a top my board, due to his perimeter shot creation ability. Something we lack and continue to lack. Clutch possessions always start with the perimeter guards. So the utilization goes up in close games

given who was already selected when we were picking, I wanted Bufkin or Hawkins. While he wasn't my preferred choice, I didn't understand the hate that George was getting pre-draft like he was some surefire bust. Wasn't very high on Gradey but I understood the reasoning. Let's hope things turn around for him.

Since this thread got prematurely bumped (End of Year 3 is Judgement Day for prospects I've always said this), I'm gonna try and get ahead of one of the clowns who will inevitably try to dunk on me already. There's a bit of a Markelle Fultz level evaluation going on with Gradey right now, in that Gradey was an absolute lights out 3P shooter in college with perfect looking shooting form. I don't think there was a single person on this planet who watched Gradey last year and thought "this guy's shooting form looks broken."

Yet somehow his shooting form so far looks completely different/broken. Gradey claims that he's always shot this way but it just doesn't look the same to me when I watch him this season compared to how it had always looked before this season. Plus the NOAH system (something 26/30 NBA teams now use FYI) has been saying his form is completely whack too. Again I just don't care what Gradey says, his shot looks way different/broken compared to his previous seasons.

The reason why I made the Fultz comparison earlier is because similar to the Fultz shooting form issues that came out of nowhere, the people who always doubted Fultz/Gradey act like the fans of his game were supposed to magically know that somehow their shooting forms would look completely different/broken compared to how their shots had always looked before that.

How can you tell who you voted for? I don't remember.

I wanted Cason, thinking FVV was gone, but would have been happy with Grady or Kobe. Too bad the Dick pick hasn't worked out so far.

I wasn't super high on Gradey, but I was OK with it on draft night. Hard not to think the FO would pick someone else if they re-drafted.

This is what happens when you pick a system guy when you don't have a winning team/system.

It would be different if we were a Warriors, Celtics or even a Mavs or Kings. But we aren't. And we weren't at the time of the deal.

We needed to go with the highest ceiling guy. I wanted Wallace or Bufkin but Wallace was off the board so Bufkin should have been the pick here.

His name would be bolded if you voted.

I agree there is no system here and no one will develop with Darko, but Dick just cant shoot and he is a pure shooter.. the system wont help him score his open shots in the G-League or NBA.

I had voted Keyonte back in June. At the time I wanted Keyonte or Bufkin. Thought we needed a point guard prospect.

I was on the Bufkin/Cason train and voted for Wallace.

Who would the Raptors have taken if Dick was drafted 11th instead of Jett??

Wallace was out of play, Hawkins was the big big miss. Same as Bane, HOO man he was a huuuge miss

If you go up to the poll it'll show the choice as bolded.

I voted Cason as well

I guess I didn't vote. Nothing is in bold. But I posted this:

deeps6x wrote:Dick, Bufkin, Wallace, Miller, Coulibaly.

I figure there will be at least two of these five available at #13, and I'm sure Masai will take the best of what's left.

Gradey still looks like a kid-teen to me though, why don't you guys give him a couple years to actually mature before we judge him as a player. I still have him being a Steve Novak type as his floor, although Whitmore on Jacquez on this roster right now would be way more suitable.

These would still be my 4 guys.
