Either that, or a younger PG that is buried on the depth charter. Someone like Davion Mitchell from SAC could fit, although he's not a proven outside shooter at this stage.

Otherwise, you're looking at vets on crappy teams - someone like Brogdon or Marcus Smart could probably be had for relatively modest returns.

Murray makes a lot of sense. I think hed be a very good player for us if we traded for him. He fits the type of player we try to acquire. Two way players who have some room for improvement still.

I also look at Murrays contract and how good that will likely look once revenue/cap goes up.

I think Tyus Jones is our best bet and I also like that he has a relationship with Jimmy that lightens the blow of trading away Lowry for him.

Murray makes sense but think there’s going to be a good amount of competition for him and you have to factor in the Klutch effect .

We need a PG that is a threat to get 20+ a minimum on any given night. Someone that can get you 30 in a playoff game. We need a massive boost in our guard play.

From what I see available, we have to be going hard for Murray or Rozier.

Unfortunately I still don’t think we’ll find a PG that can find Bam in his spots but maybe one of those guys surprises me. That will be Mitchell when we get him, they will be a top pick n roll/pop duo in the league.

Then with Murray you’re also getting defense and I believe Rozier is usually pretty high on steals. If he’s motivated he might be a strong defender. Both are good playmakers and rebounders as well.

The Tyus Jones, Delon Wright, Monte Morris type guys are great for backups but we need someone who is going to be a legit scoring threat.

Probably right MWP. Stupid Klutch Konnektions.

Russell in theory fits what I was saying earlier, but I'm just not sold on him at all.

I dont think we can afford Dejounte. Atlanta would probably want Jovic and Im super hesitant to part with him with some of the flashes hes shown. Hes starting to get consistent as well.

Looking at that LA package and not impressed whatsoever. Id hope another team would find value in beating it.

Jones, Wright, and Morris types are what we can afford. We can’t take on long term money with Lowry’s contract and most seem opposed to trading Duncan. Then you have those that view trading Herro for Rozier and Murray as a lateral move which it kinda is.

In order to maximize the potential you want those players with Herro. I’m in the camp that it is better to try and do something even if it means flipping Lowry for more useful expiring's such as Jones, Wright, and Morris types.

Trading Lowry is not going to get you the player you desire and Herro is not getting traded any time soon unless it’s for Mitchell and that won’t be till some time next year so be prepared to settle.

I don’t even think the Hawks would want Herro. It sounds like they are looking for low cost controlled talent. It also seems like they are looking to unload anyone making over 20 million with Murray like Capela or Hunter. The most logical pieces they would want from us is Jovic and JJJ attached to Lowry’s contract. I don’t see us getting anything done here. Taking on the long term money kills our cap next year.

Ya I kinda figured that must be what he's talking about but at least from my memory of Dirk he mostly was a turn and fade with that one legged jumper. JJJ is more of a bully and a much better athlete who uses his footwork closer to the basket for finishes and not turnaround jumpers so much idk...

For me he has the Kobe down low footwork. It is his idol after all

Yeah that comparison seems much more similar to me.
