Yoooo I was coming here to say that.

What's the deal with his health though. The Magic actually need some 3 point shooters so we might be able to make something happen.

WCJ is always injured and lost his starting spot to Goga Bitadze......never really improved his outside jumper, he'd be a great back up but not worth what he's getting paid.

Looking at rosters, I'm not sure if that player exists, but Murray is probably the closest to someone I can think of - being played a bit out of position and looked better in San Antonio.

Either that, or a younger PG that is buried on the depth charter. Someone like Davion Mitchell from SAC could fit, although he's not a proven outside shooter at this stage.

Otherwise, you're looking at vets on crappy teams - someone like Brogdon or Marcus Smart could probably be had for relatively modest returns.

Murray makes a lot of sense. I think hed be a very good player for us if we traded for him. He fits the type of player we try to acquire. Two way players who have some room for improvement still.

I also look at Murrays contract and how good that will likely look once revenue/cap goes up.

Nah. There is a reason why spurs don’t want him then there is a reason why hawks don’t want him. Don’t let his stats fool you.

I don't think the front office will add Herro to the package. Our offer is probably Duncan, Caleb and Jovic.

If Murray is out, Tyus Jones would be the next guy. Efficient, doesn’t turn the ball over, and comes from a winning pedigree. He’s a Duke guy too, so you know Micky likes that.

Nah time to put that pride to the side and go all in for Jimmy.

I think our FO unfortunately have gone passed the all in for Jimmy phase. He just doesn't have enough juice in him left for them to put their cards on the table for it anymore. Its a transition bridge to winning with the next crew, hoping to pull it off with what we got this year would be there hope but not an absolute. As a fan it sucks but that is what I feel like FO is in as headspace. They like their Bam, JJJ, Jovic, Herro core moving forward. with players like Duncan, JRich, Highsmith, Caleb filling in the rest.

It would have been nice to see a young player not get hurt and play all 82 or close to it like was the case in previous eras

If Steph, Giannis, Luka, or Tatum hypothetically became available, you don’t think Mia would be hitting the phones?

There’s more/less 10 or so players they’d still likely go “all in” on.

All trade avenues are open, so lets see, but I doubt we will be doing anything substantial. I hope you guys don't get your hopes up, if they did great I just don't see it.

Thats different, every single team would jump on that if given an opening to for one of those franchise conerstones. Those are clearly game changers, but none of those guys are available. Those are outlier hypotheticals.

Were talking about middlin talent changes, a piece you usually trade that improves you slightly perhaps enough to get an one up on another contender, but it can't be tested/proved until the playoffs. Those trades I believe unless their clearing cap, and can also make it work, or perhaps just swap 2 talents without giving up assets or picks then they could.

Cuurnt wish list (only for Lowry + sweetners. NO Herro/Jovic/JJJ!)

1. Rozier. He didn't play well last night but the ability to create is there. We need that. He can be good enough on D.

2. Tyus Jones : More of a backup, but a smart player that can shoot, upgrade over Lowry for sure.

3. Murray. He's way overrated IMO but he's a pretty good 2 way PG.

Any point guard, you get that is half way decent would be an upgrade over Lowry. I feel exactly like you up there, unless those guys can be had for Lowry's expiring Plus 1 FRP at most don't expect Miami to go out dropping all assets on the table.

Seen an interesting lineup Spo ran last night.
J. Richardson - B. Adebayo - C. Martin - D. Robinson - H. Highsmith

That unit had a defensive rating of 64.7. It is the most played unit by Spo. It was absolutely smothering Rozier and Ball.

There you go, exactly what Miami would do, go out and make a cap clearing trade, then go dumpster diving in the buyout market for a PJ tucker candidate.

HighSmith >> Washed Tucker

We don't need more old undersized players, we need a PG that can tie his shoes without groaning

Well if you can find that player in the buyout market perhaps we get em. For trade purposes, losing out on Kyle Lowrys expiring seems to be a no-no conversation starter for our owner going into the 2nd Apron. Unless were moving say Duncans Salary plus, Caleb, Bryant etc. I don't see how we go about this.
