For every player that turns out like SGA there are a couple hundred at least that don't. I'll go on record that IQ doesn't turn out. He will be a solid starter and nothing more. No all star games in his future.

Doesn't sound like you think he's an unknown then. Sounds like you've already decided what he is and will be.

Yep. I have.

I really like Jalen Johnson..

All the teams in that range are really dangerous it seems nearly impossible to dig out of that hole when you have to play all these other teams who are similarly skilled and playing hard to make the playoffs. Its such a brutal road. Even a team like the Lakers makes it to the playoffs they will have to slug out so many tough games to win enough to get in.

It feels great being the top seed and having some serious room to lose game or slump and not have to feel like your season is over.

The hot start and being 17 games above .500 is a big deal right now with as competitive as the West is.
If we can get to +20 and stay there, I really like our chances of finishing top 6 or better.
Whoever we face in the playoffs, it's not likely to be easy.
Best case we draw a young inexperienced team like Houston or Utah.
We could win 60 games and finish 1st and still draw a dangerous team like Dallas or Phoenix in the 1st round.

Teams that scare me the most/I think would be hardest for us to beat in the playoffs are.

1. Denver (though I think we are built to give them problems, I still think the are the best team when push comes to shove)
2. Pelicans (I think they match up well with us and Zion has been a nightmare, would not be shocked if they are like a 8 or 7 seed but wound up sweeping us in embarrassing fashion)
3. Clippers (They have found a grove, they have proven playoff stars, and elite wing play. Their scoring is also scary)
4. OKC Thunder (Seems like a good matchup, I just think their youth and inexperience will be a problem for them in the playoffs but they could beat us with skill)
5. Suns (Just too many prolific scorers and I think elite offense is unstoppable and our offense is not good enough to keep up if they get hot)

I am really not worried about the Lakers (Yea they can beat us but I think they are very beatable right now), Warriors (They seem cooked to me and I think we have their number) Jazz (I think we can handle them with relative ease)

Dallas worries me a little bit only because Luka and Kyrie can go off. Outside of that though I don't sweat them.

I think a big stat we should be paying more attention to is 16-2 at Target Center. No other team in the West has less than 4 losses at home. Out of 43 games left in the season, that means we play 23 of 43 at home, which includes 10 of the last 14 games of the season. In that stretch, we just travel twice to Denver (one on a back-to-back after hosting Washington) and a two-game road trip to Phoenix and the Lakers.

Clippers (and Suns?) are bunched in with Dallas for me because they default to a lot of isolations, and I think that's where our defense can really lock you down.

Shouldn’t have been possible with All Star Andrew Wiggins. The hottest trade asset in the NBA

Watching TNT, in the postgame they misspelled Kuminga with a C. Barkley caught it on air. Priceless.

Thunder on a 4 game road trip. Thursday they play the surging Jazz, and then they end in Target Center. I wouldn’t be surprised to see OKC end the week on a 4 game losing streak.

Schedule look good for us. We have to make the job but i would like to secure 3-4 wins gap with the second before ASG. Considering how good we are at home, it may be a huge advantage for the PO.

We are two wins (Pistons and G league Griz,) away from 30-11. That is halfway to the 60 win seasons wolves fan have been dreaming of for 20 years.

Regarding seeding, OKC losing to the Clippers, Jazz, and us would push them down to 4th with the Clippers moving into 3rd. Denver would still be breathing down our necks, but I could see us atop the west heading into the all star break (assuming we take care of business against sub .500 teams.)

We got lucky again with scheduling - we are better rested for both OKC games. The only not so winnable game is 2/8 at MIL.

I think OKC is good enough to go .500 or better in those handful of games. The Clippers don't have an amazing track record against good teams so they are beatable OKC is still one of the hottest teams in the NBA. They also smacked us last game so of course, they are fully capable of taking us down too. If they drop 3/4 I will be a little surprised.
