Interesting that they didn’t sign one yesterday.

Maybe there is one coming back in a trade.

- Building chemistry is easier when you are winning
- If we hypothetically made the playoffs, that is more time for the team to build chemistry
- Our players will improve in value if we are winning games, giving us more flexibility to make moves
- It's important we show Quickley and Barnes that this is a franchise where they can be successful
- Without centre depth, Barnes is more likely to spend time playing out of position, providing less opportunity for him get reps in the best possible situation
- Without centre depth, Barnes or anyone else important to the roster are at a higher risk of injury
- If we did hypothetically make it to the playoffs, anything is possible at that point (see Miami from last year)
- We are not going to be bad enough to get a top 6 pick without further injuries to this team, so why wouldn't we try to win games?

To just shrug and say the rest of the season doesn't matter is defeatist and toxic AF. Thank god you are not our GM.

What center are we gonna sign that's gonna help us win?? lol We were already struggling when we had a center and no magical 10 day guy will all of a sudden help us win more games.. Just got to bite the bullet till Poeltl gets back

Anyone that can absorb fouls and provide some interior defence. Biyombo would work. No one is talking about some mythical g-league gem that makes us a contender, just someone that can help cover minutes at centre for several weeks. I disagree with your assessment that a 10 contract cannot help win games.

Ya I guess a 10 day buy low guy would be alright.. I can also see them saving that extra roster spot to get a trade done.. Guess we'll find out what there plan is soon.

If they need the roster spot, just waive the ten day guy. It is not a lot of money, but at least having the C helps the team save us from Thad minutes.

I will tell you that you risk players health having them play minutes at C. Despite what people think about the modern NBA, it is pretty physical inside the paint. Porter who is having a great run is also at risk of an injury playing such big minutes. Instead of easing him into the rotation they may end up starting him now. He isn't conditioned to this type of grind and likely will get an injury.

Maybe people should stop crapping on the fact that we gave a pick to Spurs for Jakob, but instead look at his impact on this team without him. I’ve been saying this all along Jakob is a top 10 C. His defence is subtle but anchors our team. Our record could very well be 5-2 if we had Jakob.

Disappointed as usual to see the front office seemingly asleep at the wheel. Say what you will about Colangelo but it seemed he was always actively trying to make moves.

Colangelo was a dirty salesman who got his job from daddys name

Masai came in like a beast but is a one and done that used it for personal leverage

I find Masai and Co. now acting more like that dirty salesman the last few years. All we can hope for is they get a great return for Pascal as they last 3 years of moves have been absurdly oversold in terms of what this team really needs.

A Poeltl injury should never be seen as a backbreaker on any good team in the regular season. But they'll milk it like Colangelo did with Garbojosa,.

He is?

-17.4 net rtg (by far worst on the team for anyone who has played rotation minutes)

47.4 TS%

We get destroyed any time he's on the floor and his scoring efficiency for a PF/C is absolutely atrocious. What exactly is he helping us with?
