And yet, a good big wing off the bench.

Every trade checker I have tried says that it doesnt work moneywise

I am officially throwing my Luke Warm to very warm interest in on Lonnie Walker. Barely plays in Brooklyn. Very good athlete who is shooting well from 3 this year. 48 + 46 from 2 and 3.. My memory is he can defend above average (I think)

Not a "Big Wing" as Brad stated, but options are limited.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

You are correct:

Code: Select all

Financial
Celtics are unable to complete this trade. Since they are an over apron team, they are only able to take back 110% of the salary they are sending out, plus $0.

Celtics can only take back $6.6M in salary based on the amount they are sending out.

Cut $53K from the Celtics incoming trade value to make this trade successful for the Celtics.

$53,000 off. Wow.

EDIT: Trade works by replacing Stevens with Brissett, but h's been in the reg rotation lately.

Banton and L Walker salaries match. Trade 2 2nds to make it happen.

I really don't feel Brad will be trading 2 or 3 of our players for 1 higher priced player. Then he would have to back fill the open roster spots, which would add even more salary to the payroll. If he is going to add that much payroll, I would expect him to just use the TPE along with our first round pick this year along with one player on a 1 for 1 deal We all know Brad doesn't like 1st round picks, and right now being that it is the 30th pick, I don't feel he will want to guarantee a salary for 4 years on a player he can probably get in the 2nd round with one of our two 2nd round picks and pay a lot less. I mean, look at all the trades he made in last year's draft. I fell it going to be a one player chosen from Stevens, Svi or Banton and our first-round pick for a player into our TPE and probably another late 2nd round pick but broken into 2 trades to make it legal.

I just generally feel better about someone who has been in Pop's system for a few years. At the very least, he's had plenty of exposure to playing the right way.

You can do the Math. Does Cedi’s salary equal less than 110% of the outgoing? If so it’s legal.

Well that’s the easy part - what are you willing to give up for him?

28 year old role player with only 1.5 yrs of NBA experience, on an expiring contract, making just $3 mil a season.

I'm not too worried about the cost.

Burks (via buyout) and Griffin (for the vibes). Svi waived. We’re set.

I loved Blake for most of his career, and here, but I don't know that we need his vibes any more. This team is all business. Keep rolling that way.

Burks I take for guard depth over Svi in a heartbeat, good call, but I'd guess that's a long shot.

Brad Stevens should just pickup Alex Caruso and Isaiah Stewart.

Caruso, Pritchard, Hauser, Stewart, Horford for the bench, we are all set.

It's basically malfeasance if he doesn't pull this off.

I think it’s malfeasance if he does pull it off. And I don’t even know what malfeasance means.

Can’t get enough vibes when we’re riding those duck boats. I’d sign JR Smith if we could.
