I wonder how long it would take for Dante and Jeff Turner to mention that Fultz is completely refusing to take shots outside of the paint since he came back. My bet is at least 10 more games. They hype to the heavens any half decent pass he make and completely refuse to say anything remotely negative about him.

Yikes. It's surprising to me that no player has instigated anything like that against Fultz over the last few years on the court. Maybe the games haven't been high enough stakes yet.

Pure speculation but maybe players know what execlly happend to him ( motorbike accident coverup for insurance reasons? ) so they don't want to be d***s?
Or, less conspiracy theory : he isn't trashtalking so nobody barks back.

Yeah that's what I was thinking as well. A bit of sympathy for him knowing he was a highly touted #1 pick but then mental + physical issues got in the way. I guess no one mocked Greg Oden either.
But I wouldn't put it past Draymond lol.

Not good enough to be a target.
Also, fultz seems nice. Guys like Brooks targets the team’s best player

I was thinking about motorcycle accident "coverup" as some type of player's gentelment's code of silence, i bet among nba players, many of them know lot of personal dirt about other guys, from merriage cheating, drugs, steroids etc.
Like, most notorious example, Odom was showing up in lockerroom on crack. Odom admited he was doing cocaine since 2004. (btw good job drug testing nba guys, you killed it)
I don't know. We never really found out what execlly happend to Fultz. TOS diagnosed after multiple doctors visited, never had surgery, never fully recovered ,over time his shoulder & jumpshot got worst (again).
It's just mess. Has been mess ever since first footages of his broken jumpshot broke internet back in summer of 2017.

We need 5 seasons of data before we know who Fultz really is. You can never be too sure.

...they don't even say negative things about players on the opposing teams - never going to happen (nor should it - bring critical of our players is not their job).

I am not saying they have to call him out directly, but not even mentioning that one of the Magic's players has suddenly completely stopped taking midrange shots which were his bread and butter in his previous seasons is just not doing your job as a commentator.

If it was a motorbike accident, I would expect that to be used against him. Mocking a mental health issue is not funny and it would be universally frown upon.

TOS isn’t a mental health issue.
