I also think it's the Sixers. This supposed fued with Nurse was overblown. It was one incident. Siakam became a 2x A-S and 2x All-NBA under him. Nurse loved him and played him as much as he wanted, and Siakam seemingly enjoyed the heavy minutes. I also think people are overstating the renouncements and other cuts they would have to make. When you can come out of it with a trio of Embiid, Maxey and Siakam, you do it.

How do you watch our lack of spacing and think Pascal next to Embiid is worth investing a max?

Huh? Embiid is a decent outside shooter - 35% from 3 this season. It certainly killed us in Game 3 in 2022.

Pascal works best with a C who can space the floor, as he showed with Marc and Serge.

Worst case is we settle with that poo poo platter from the Kings and bolster our depth.

I think if it is those long term contracts and a 1st or capspace/flexibility, I think him walking is better. Problem is the pr and stupid podcasters really get on your ass if you do that. This is the same with Fred. Nothing is way better.

I think I’m one of the few posters excited by a OMP and Green package so I would welcome a Dallas trade.
Regarding the kings trade, at least Harrison Barnes would guard the best player and give Scottie more oxygen on offence. Scottie looks exhausted lately.

Giving that 5th year should have been an issue that was known a while ago, years even. Wish they just rebuilt much earlier and avoided this potential mess. This happens in NHL a lot but the players typically give a short list and extension is pre-arranged. I assume these max rules are designed to help teams keep players but perhaps it hurts trade values.

Dallas has made sense for Siakam, no state tax and family there. All these posters who were saying Siakam wants to stay, lol him and his agent playin mind games with you all.

No team is giving him 5 years, even in FA. It just isn't done with players that age unless they're special. He will ask for a 3+PO. I haven't heard the Wojpod clip yet, but obviously Dallas makes sense for him. Get paid, close to family and steps in as a 3rd option. People think he wants to play with Embiid's corpse for > 40 minutes of Nurseball in a toxic sports market aren't thinking straight.

Plus no OG, that means he has to run around guarding other teams best players. I wish Raptors had taded Siakam instead of OG.

Barrett and Scottie have a bad history with each other which will be tough to overcome.

RJ played at Montverde and won a title over Scottie's team in 2018. Scottie went and joined Montverde the next year after RJ left. But they had a few close encounters.

Then the NY stuff was minor but RJ showed him up again. And now he looks like the primary option over Scottie while Barnes hasn't looked himself. Maybe not the best trade all things considered.

I've been sensing Scottie doesn't look too happy when RJ does well scoring. Could be my imagination though

I like O-Max, but his upside is a role player. Green is a generic 3&D type SG/SF. it's not a great return as it lacks one piece with enticing upside. But what do we know, maybe it's the only decent offer.

Dallas has nothing to offer. Not for a player like Pascal. We would need to be absolutely desperate to trade him there.

OKC, IND and GS are the 3 teams that should want Pascal and have the pieces to trade for him.

This is the kind of logic that people would use to say "Barnes can shoot the 3 and let him space for Pascal operate". Embiid can shoot 3 but he operates mostly in the same space on the court Pascal is efficient at. Why would Morey sign Pascal thinking Embiid can space for Pascal, instead of signing someone who can space for Embiid
