Masai playing hardball I guess, since DAL cannot acquire Siakam without trading for him.

Regarding the kings trade, at least Harrison Barnes would guard the best player and give Scottie more oxygen on offence. Scottie looks exhausted lately.
I like O-Max, but his upside is a role player. Green is a generic 3&D type SG/SF. it's not a great return as it lacks one piece with enticing upside. But what do we know, maybe it's the only decent offer.
I wouldn't say that his upside is a role player just like Delon Wright has become one. Tony Allen was a role player too, but a hell of one, Boris Diaw too. We need those guys, we can't always look for someone who maybe can get some nba accolades in the future. Josh Green in a Danny Green role ? I'll take that, low usage, high efficiency = success. O-Max, Green and a FRP or two maybe ? Sign me up.

Yup. The Sixers. Only team that makes sense. They upgrade from to Tobias Harris to Pascal, and atone for their mistake in not maxing out Butler.
Masai's goal now should be to clear as much cap space for the summer by trading Schroder and Boucher for expirings. It's the only way to start building a competitive team around Scottie, RJ and IQ going forward.
Funny considering Tobias cooks him every time they play

It's not reasonable because he is making it public which poop offers. The front office right now are screwing over the Barnes's development year. His attempts and usage have tanked and we have some clowns that think we should resign some lazy diva about to turn 30
Calling him a lazy diva seems far fetched when he's done everything asked of him here without complaining.
He is lazy defensively. He’s quit on that end this year. Why defend a quitter?

LOL some people are really talking smack about Siakam because he wants to choose his own destination if Toronto doesn't want him?
And they're also saying he's "holding" Barnes back LOL.

Vince and Bosh bailed on this team.
Pascal wants to stay...
Completely different scenarios.
Not trying on D is a good way to show you want to stay

Re: Pascal Siakam Trade Speculation Thread 2
Dallas absolutely has stuff to offer if you are considering it against the Warriors, Kings trying to dump 3 year contracts on us . At least THJ and Holmes are only two year contracts. I would absolutely take a 1st from them, a swap, O-max and Green. So even without Lively their offer isn’t too bad compared to other trash. Indy has the advantage of capspace next offseason. I think he goes to Dallas unless the other teams really incentivize the dumping of these 3 and 4 year deals that are trash.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?
Please advise….

I think what bothers me about it is in terms of shot creation on the team,we're left with Scottie, IQ, RJ. Barring other moves, that's not good enough. Trying to acquire more will be hard and take time. Trading Siakam is our quickest route to getting offensive talent.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

When the 76ers faced the Raps in the 2022 playoffs, Siakam spent at least half that series looking like the best player on the floor.
From an overall effort standpoint, I do think the current Siakam is unmotivated out there compared to his normal self. Too many times he's not contesting shots, not boxing out and generally missing assignments on the defensive end. This situation to me looks like the last year of Chris Bosh in Toronto where Bosh mailed it in because his head was already in Miami.

Re: Pascal Siakam Trade Speculation Thread 2
Here are two trades that would be crap if Siakam was signed for 4/$160M, but since he isn't, and since we need a POA defender with upside...
Detroit trades Harris, Wiseman and Thompson for Siakam. Ausar is the prize. Harris and Wiseman are just salary filler crap. But maybe we could use Wiseman for a couple of weeks until Poeltl gets healthy again.
Orlando trades Fultz, Harris and Black for Siakam. Anthony Black is right there with Ausar as a POA defender. Takes the pressure off Scotty. Fultz and Harris could be cut immediately for all I care.
Both work in the trade machine. Both trades let us move Scotty to defending PFs.
Of course, Detroit is the only team that needs Siakam. Orlando has Banchero.
Tick tick tick, I don't think we will be doing better then this, but I hope I'm wrong. Hell, prove me wrong Masai.

what is our cap situation like if he walks this summer? Can we try to go after a young RFA and/or UFA AND re-sign IQ? Maybe there's a rental offer where we get expirings and a pick or something. That would have to be weighed against the multiyear salaries we'd need to take on from Dallas in order to get whichever players they are willing to send us.

The entire team sucks on defense, trade everyone?

I did not thought about getting offensive talent since that IQ trade. I'm not really sure what to do /think about RJ, sometimes he reminds me of someone who stops the flow in a fluid offense. We just have to bet and speculate that Barnes and IQ make the next steps, in terms of offensive skills, during the summer.
And I doubt someone will trade a potential shot creating prospect for 3 months Siakam.

There would be a path to have about 35M-40M in cap space.
Losing him nothing would actually be better than accepting a teams junk offer. But I don't think it will come to that. I think the Raps will get a good deal for Siakam, Masai's just trying to squeeze a bit more.

There’s a difference between sucking and not giving effort, and he’s a supposed leader of the team expecting a max deal

So, he's a lazy diva turning 30 who gives zero effort on D but other teams will want to trade for him?

I mean Vince quit on this team and New Jersey still traded for him. And he subsequently played like vintage Vince after the trade

And we’re about to get an underwhelming package for Siakam. Vince was also dogging it on offense too. Averaging a measley 13 pts a game before he got shipped
